Okay enough for non-professionals.
My wife was a professional dancer. Sometimes symphonies would hire the ballet company she danced for for a performance and would request a tap dancer for one of the pieces. My wife was the go-to dancer for it. Our daughter, however, is not a dancer. She takes dance so she can do musical theater. These shoes are adequate for her needs. Opening the box, you will get a strong whiff of petroleum, signaling that these are definitely NOT leather. (They probably shouldn't be calling them leather in the name, and burying the PU in the description, but I digress.) Professional tap shoes are more than twice the price of these, so you are getting what you pay for. They clack, they look okay enough, they get the job done for my daughter's needs, and if she outgrows them, no biggie.

Can't want to start trap Dancing again
What a great trap shoe! The taps give crisp clear sounds. They fit true to size. They're comfortable. Lately shoes have begun to feel like ballet toe shoes, weber the tops of the shoe feels like it's wood with a thin piece of cloth over it. Sure it will support you dancing on the tips of your toes, and they're pretty, but they're hard and uncomfortable. That's not the case with these. The tip of the site can support you going on your toes, and each part of the trap gives a distinct sound.
