Love the shoe
Love the shoe. I wear a 12 1/2 wide. The 48 is a perfect fit. Just loosen up the Velcro straps a little. Very comfortable and lite.

Love the shoe. I wear a 12 1/2 wide. The 48 is a perfect fit. Just loosen up the Velcro straps a little. Very comfortable and lite.
I was in the market for a new set of mountain bike shoes and found these. They were very well priced, with limited size selection, but I got lucky because my size was one of the few left. I have used other Louis Garneau products in the past and have been happy with the quality. These shoes are well built and are pretty comfortable for a mountain bike shoe. I gave them around an hour break-in ride yesterday and felt them to be a solid platform. I stood on the pedals and bounced a few times and couldn't feel the (eggbeater) pedals through the bottom of the shoe so the stiffness is good (and I am not the most slim guy). Three Velcro closures help keep your foot where you want it and I only had to tighten one of the straps during my hour-long ride - so they seem to stay put. If they had a rachet closure on the top strap instead of Velcro I would have given these a 5/5.
excellent product stuipd me didnt get right size return was esay awaiting credit so I can purchase right size
The size does run small as other have noted. I were a 12 US and 47 fit well but unfortunate one of the Velcro straps separated on my first ride which left it flapping in the breeze. Had to return as defective. But the shoe itself did have a good fit/feel.
I've been using these shoes for road bike cycling now for three months. Overall they're a good solid shoe. I use SPD pedals and cleats because I walk in them off the bike and they seem best for that. The footbed is firm and energy transfer to crank is good, even in an off the saddle situation. After reading other reviews before I purchased, the general consensus was to order them a half size larger because they run small. My only regret is not ordering them a full size larger because they run short and narrow. It blows my mind why cycling shoe manufacturers don't offer them in wide widths. I use a heavier wool sock for cold weather riding and I have a standard medium width foot. With these shoes it was close to painful with heavier socks. My recommendation is to go a full size larger if you use heavier socks in colder weather and adjust with Innersoles with thin socks.
These are light and breath well for summer riding. Very comfortable and the velcro straps make it easy to put on and off.
The shoes were too small and I had to order their largest size. But I love these shoes. Paired with my pedals these shoes feel comfortable, look good and function great! YOu cannot go wrong with these. I normally wear a size 11 1/2. I had to order the size 48. So be aware they run small.
