Very cute. Runs tight btwn insole and top of shoe

I am a women’s size 6.5-7 shoe. I have flat feet and was concerned about the sizing since I’d never purchased a thing from this brand before so I decided to visit the shop in person to be sure before purchasing online. (Amazon solicited me in the first place and also had the same shoe priced for $35 less, so I don’t feel bad)The day I got to the store, (The Americana in Glendale, Ca) customer service was subpar and unfortunately the girl “assisting” me clearly didn’t want to be there. I helped myself upstairs but since I wasn’t wearing any socks, I asked the sales girl upstairs if they had any try on socks. I was given those cheap nylon slips that only covered half my foot and slid even more off by the time I got to the mirror..(They sell socks, one pair for over $14, its not an unreasonable request)I grabbed a size 6.5 and a size 7 shoe myself reaching under display cabinets as the sales people were oblivious to their own inventory.To my pleasant surprise, the shoe Immediately felt comfortable! They have a nice cushioned insole and I love the height boost the sole gives! Btwn the two sizes, The size 7 felt a tiny bit loose at the back so I opted for the size 6.5 since it felt just as comfy all around.I bought a pair in a different color that day with intent for this second pair in animal print purchased on Amazon. When I finally wore the shoe with actual socks, (I bought a pair of socks there among other items), the shoe fit too tight in the 6.5 :(The shoe rubs against the top of my foot and bothers my toes. Even while unlaced! Total Bummer.I still love the shoe so proceeded to order the animal print sneaker in my cart from Amazon but this time I was going to switch to size 7… well, why is the size 7 $35 more?!I struggled for a couple days with the price difference but eventually gave in, I swore I selected the size 7, however, I received the size 6.5.I have no Will power and wore them right away thinking I just needed to break them in. I wore them with extra slim socks. (Again, they fit super comfy at the store with the stupid nylon sock)Sadly, the shoe is still rubbing against the top of my toes and foot and cannot be worn for too long. I’ve worn them a few times and now always bring a spare shoe with me just in case I can’t manage. I don’t want any corns! These sneakers were meant to be comfortable and stylish.Otherwise, I would’ve just stuck to my adidas superboost.Just a heads up, I wouldn’t say they run narrow, but maybe the extra cushion insole takes away from foot space inside? And for whatever the reason, Amazon vendors may be selling the shoe at a different price depending on size. Be extra careful before check out.
