The heel has a solid base, which makes them feel stable when walking, and there's some cushioning under the heel area of the footbed. There is no arch support, but that is clear from the style and product images.For me, the toe box felt too tight, and I don't think I could wear them comfortably for long periods. That said, fit can be very foot specific. I didn't remove a star because the shoes are well made, attractive, and exactly as shown and described. They are not for me, but I think many of women would love them.

These dressy slip on shoes are so very pretty in person. They are comfortable with a trial walk. Nothing pinches and the heels have a solid square bottom for safer walking. We'll see how comfy they are after an event, will advise, but I have high hopes. The sole is not slippery at all. They are so much more beautiful in person. They are true to size.
