Great waterproof shoes!
My 17 year old needed some waterproof shoes because his old boots had holes in them. These are exactly what he was looking for! They’re easy to get on and off, and they have the most wonderful insole! The insole isn’t mentioned in the advertisement, but it has a very cushioned and comfortable one. My son normally wears a wide and mentioned that these weren’t as wide as his old ones, but that they were still comfortable. They do have good traction on the bottom, and they kept his feet completely dry the whole evening. He also mentioned that they were lighter than his old pair, so easier to move around in. These appear to be good-quality shoes, and they’re cheaper than similar ones that I priced at the store. I’d recommend these to anyone in the food-service industry.One last thing to mention; they were shipped in a clear back and had a soft material in one corner of the bag. My guess is that they were wrapped in this soft material at one time and maybe just got tossed around in shipping. It was sort of strange, but the shoes weren’t damaged in any way.

Reasonable Price, Good Quality Leather, Thick Cushioned Soles, Waterproof, Good on Slippery Floors
I got these for my husband for working in our garage which has a slippery floor, especially when he works w/oily substances. He says they seem true to size, but I got them a half-size bigger to fit his orthopedic shoe inserts, so they would be a little big w/o the inserts. He says they are remarkable on the oily, slippery floors. They are a bit stiff & he is bending them to help get them less stiff. He poured water on them & even stepped in some deep rain puddles & they held up & didn't leak. They feel very heavy, but he says he will deal w/it as they are very anti-slip; also, in my experience, once one is used to a heavy shoe, they seem less heavy. But he thinks they will take a while to break in. He likes the elastic around the ankles as it serves to keep water from deep puddles seeping in. He says if he stood in the puddle, the water could likely get in, but it keeps it out for a quick "whoops" & lifting foot from the puddle. He's pleased at the leather as he finds synthetic shoes make his feet sweat more. These do make his feet sweat a bit, likely due to the waterproofing. He's on the fence about whether they make standing easier on his feet & back. But he's open to wearing them more to better test them further. So far, he thinks they do help but feels they need an all-day test. When this happens, I will update the review if they don't perform as advertised. The price is reasonable for such a substantial leather shoe. I took a star off due to how heavy & stiff they are, needing a break in period.

Good All Weather Shoes.
I use this as my outdoor shoes. I live in the rainy and damp Pacific Northwest and I have to walk across the wet grass to do my chores, feed the chickens, take out the trash. These shoes are perfect for those types of activities. They are waterproof and have good strong tread similar to a work boot.They aren't super easy to slip on. Due to the elastic around the ankle, I have to use both hands to pull the shoe open and get me foot in. That's probably necessary though because the shoe fits very snugle around my foot.The insoles feel good but are relatively flat. For my feet, I would need an arch support insole added to these shoes in order to wear them all day. But that could be easily done.They black leather looks clean and dressy, they would definitely fit with any work uniform.They are a little small for their size. I bought them 1 size too big and they fit great.

Not as good as expected
The shoes look decent and are easy to clean, but the anti-slip performance is only average. On oily or wet kitchen floors, they still feel a bit slippery. Comfort is okay at first, but after standing for long hours, my feet start to feel sore and hot. Not as good as expected

grippy but a little stiff to start
These shoes have some grip! My husband said that they are comfortable, but do pinch a bit weirdly on his big toe. We're guessing that will even out as they get broken in. He did also say that they're REALLY stiff right now and kind of hard to get on - but he does love that he's not sliding around on the wet floor. The look on these is really sharp and they dont' scream "work shoe!". Because the shoe covers your entire foot, they are likely going to be awesome for folks in the snow.

enough but not too much shoe, just right
Sneakers and athletic shoes typically have too many glued parts and seams that lead to “disassembly” when in contact with grease or wet conditions, and rugged kitchen use. Meanwhile, many boots or heavy duty shoes are tiresome for all day use, not to mention many are not really waterproof, with seams that leak, etc.These fill a niche for the worker who needs waterproof construction, (fairly) easy on/off (with multiple loops to pull on back above heel), all-day comfort, and crucial slip protection – without crazy foams and designer materials.These are functional first and foremost, and provide ample comfort and support. I tried them with thick wool socks that wick moisture and the fit remained comfortable. I usually wear between a size 11 and size 12, but with heavy socks the size 11 was just right – secure without slippage, but not too tight.These shoes are perhaps designed for kitchen workers, but they are perfect for many other working environments including home shop use, landscaping, car washing, farm and outdoor use.
