Great fit, comfortable and size is spot on. I had the low tops and got these in two colors.
Shoes are never particularly easy to rate, especially given how wear over time can be wildly different depending on the quality and the type of wearer you are. I have two types of shoes primarily. Everyday/comfort, and rugged/work for home projects and more involved outdoor scenarios. These fit more into the former category, but the hiking element gives them a bit more versatility. So, how did they fit, feel, and look? First, let's go over the simple one, looks. These are basic high-tops with a thin, flat bottom that offers both minimal cushioning (remove the insole) and moderate cushioning (with insole). The colors are basic and easy to match with pretty much anything. The laces pre-installed are pull up types (never used these before), wherein you simply pull the top lace (which is screwed together with a metal barrel) over two metal pieces on the sides. This tension keeps the shoes on rather tight, so it might be uncomfortable if you have larger feet/ankles. But, they come with a set of traditional laces should you prefer them.Second, the fit and feel. With the insole in they fit true to size. I ordered my normal size and found them to be spot on. The front is noticeably wider, which I found to be a pleasant feeling as my toes felt way less cramped. The flat bottoms are a bit loud (literally) when walking on hard surfaces, and the very flat bottoms take getting used to. I wore these several days in an office type job, with regular but not crazy amounts of walking involved. I overall found them comfortable, but after a full day the tension type laces did begin to get uncomfortable. These also make you run cold, as the material is highly breathable (probably for hiking). So, I won't be wearing these on cold days if I am outside working.Overall, these are very interesting shoes with some features I have not experienced before. But, in terms of all day comfort they aren't quite there. The lack of support and flatness eventually make my feet ache a bit. However, I am looking forward to warmer weather, where these should really shine.
These shoes are super comfortable and stylish. You can wear casually or to slightly more formal events. It looks great with khakis with the color scheme. I ordered a size 9 and they fit me perfectly. My favorite thing about these shoes is that you don’t have to tie the laces ever. It has this little strap that you use instead of needing to tie them. These shoes work super well and I wear them for everyday use. The bottoms seem to be a little flat so sometimes my feet hurt a little bit if I am doing a lot of walking in them but overall they are decent shoes and they look great.
It is not often I find shoes in my normal size of 14 Wide. I was shocked to see these come available in my size on Amazon's Vine program... I had to order them.I put them on as soon as they arrived. First off, I noticed they were very light. Next... the elastic "laces". Never had those before but am liking them. I also loved the boot lace hooks knot sure if the actual term but the hooks, not eyelets found on the upper end of boots. These have a set making lacing the elastic laces a breeze (also works great with regular laces). Speaking of regular laces, it comes with a set of those, too. Wrong time if year for a lot of the country, but they are very breathable... not great for cold weather. So comfort... the wide toe box is awesome! It's a design feature found on some styles of my beloved Keen work boots. The fit is fantastic with no toe cramping whatsoever. Now for the reason I went with 4 stars... the insoles. They are less than impressive. I wore them for about an hour or two and it simply wasnt doing it for me. I generally replace my insoles with either custom orthotics or higher end insoles. These felt like the weak link of these shoes. I slipped in a pair from a pair of Keen work shoes and actually slipped them in on top of the existing insoles and my feet still werent cramped... and they felt so much better.I have about 7 or 8 hours on them... mostly walking around a dog park and a grocery store. With my insoles, I love these! Without them... meh. I can't wait to try them in late spring or summer for fishing.
These boot shoes have some good rigidity to them, especially the back of the ankle. And I like that they have breathable fabric that should aid in some comfort on warmer hikes. These also fit my wider feet nicely. I got a size 11, which might actually be a bit too long, but the area around my ankle was so tight that I think a size 10 would be too small. The tying-free laces are cool, but make these shoes too tight. At least they also ship with regular laces! But what disappointed me most is that the inside, especially around the ball of the foot, is not manufactured well and it has several seemingly hard or thick edges that make these shoes uncomfortable even just for everyday wear. I would fully expect multiple blisters if I wore these on a hike.Comfort and fit are subjective, but I feel like these manufacturing flaws are significant enough that I would think others would face similar discomfort.
