I was a bit skeptical of these 'no tie' shoes and te practicality of these auto tightening shoes in daily use and really wanted to try because the mechanisim looked really good and attractive on paper. And after trying out these shoes for about a month now , i can say that they every bit as good as they are adverstised to be ! They are a godsend to peple with back issues and a great alternative to slide in shoes if your prefer lace up shoesLIKES- The 'zero tie' mechanisim works really well in real life. you slide in your feet without having to bend and just roll the slider on your heels to engage the shoe laces that tighten up nicely with an audible clicking sound- To loosen you simple step on the release switch above your heel with your other foot and the laces loosed up completely- The laces do not appear to loosen while walking or when in use, even if they do , they are so easy to tighten up!- The style of the shoes is really good and they do feel very premium and on par if not better than many name brands- The packaging of the shoes is also very premium with a very unique two section box which you would have a a hard time throwing away due to its uniqueness :)- Comfortable to wear and provide ample cushioning and arch supportDISLIKESWhile I understand that they have a a very unique lace up mechanisim which commands a premium, they are still a bit expensive at $150 for new/lesser known brandFINAL THGOHTSOverall these are ultra premium and practical shoes that are of great quality and a boon for people with back issues or injurires . I would recommend them if you dont mind the slightly high price tag.

The sizing is very off. I got a pair 1/2-1 size larger than I normally wear. Was worried they'd be too big. Not a concern. With the rigidness required to make them "hands free" they are almost pinching my feet. Not for wide feet, I guess.The sole is so/so comfortable, but for a person with arch and back issues they are definitely not supportive enough. Great traction. The bottom almost feels sticky rubbery, at least around the house.The wheel on the heel is a weird thing. Apparently it's to help take them off? Not sure how that works. The instructions are actually on the box. The box is kind of cool. Haven't seen shoes packed like this before.They seem breathable and airy.The color and style is okay.All that together does not justify the price. I'm not a person that pays a lot for shoes. I try to spend less than a Benjamin on my shoes, so this is definitely not a great value.
