Honest review
Poor quality in person. Looks cheap. Wrinkles of lines, in certain sections of the shoes. Husband immediately displeased upon viewing them.

Mixed feelings. Not all-leather, but comfortable.
I'm always skeptical when I see something advertised as "leather". Vegan leather is NOT leather. When I first opened the package, I was a little disappointed. They came in a plastic bag. At $47.99, I'd expect the packaging to be a little better. If I were to give these as a gift, I'm sure the recipient would think "cheap packaging, cheap shoes". I found myself immediately sniffing all around the shoes to discern the smell of real leather. Some parts do smell like leather. I went back to the seller's ad and have to commend their honesty in advertising. The images denote which parts of the shoes are leather, and what is "artificial leather". It seems that only the midsole is real leather. But when I ordered these I just saw "Leather" in the product heading. This may be my fault for not reading the description more clearly, but I'm still disappointed.You are not going to just slip in and out of these. You need to use the buckle each time. The buckle looks quite flimsy. I do not have a ton of confidence that these will last long unless I take extreme care putting them on and taking them off.Once I put them on, I was a little happier. They do look like the photos, and yes, mostly, the do look like leather. I like the style. They do look very "Roman". I find them to be quite comfortable. The "real leather" midsole bothered me a little at first. It just feels like my feet were going to sweat because of the ONLY real leather in these shoes... who wears socks with sandals? But after a while I adjusted to the feeling and I found the shoes to be quite comfortable. The rubber sole offers good traction, so I don't feel like I'm going to slip.Living in Florida and working from home, I wear sandals and flip-flops 95% of the time. I've tried some dressier sandals to go with nice linen pants, but I usually found the soles to be a bit too rigid. These shoes are better because the soles are more flexible. I do like these sandals, and the initial quality looks okay. But I do have concerns about how long the buckles will last. It is going to take a month or two for me to reach my final verdict on these sandals. I'll need to see how they hold up to rain, and of course that flimsy buckle! I will come back to update my review."Would I buy them again"? Not at this price. These seem more like $35 shoes than almost $50. But they are comfortable, and I like the look.

So I grabbed these Men’s Leather Hollow Flat Fisherman Sandals because I thought, “Yes, I will finally achieve the Roman-gladiator-meets-casual-dad look.” Out of the bag(?), they looked like leather, felt decent quality, and I even got a few compliments before I could say, “They’re not real gladiator sandals, Karen.” The fit, though? Definitely on the narrow side...my feet felt like they were being hugged by a clingy ex. A bigger strap would have been nice so I didn’t have to wrestle them on like an Olympic event.Now, the sandals did smell a little weird at first. Luckily, that faded after a couple wears. The value is solid, the style is cool, and I did genuinely enjoy the breathable design....perfect for pretending I’m on vacation while actually just standing in line at the grocery store. However, I made the bold decision to wear them in the rain and immediately discovered that the bottoms had zero grip. Picture me ice-skating across a wet parking lot, arms flailing, sandals squeaking. Not exactly the manly Roman warrior vibe I was going for.Pros: nice quality, looks like leather, breathable, stylish, good value, received compliments.Cons: narrow fit, weird smell at first, bottoms are basically slip-n-slides in the rain, strap could be bigger.

While not the most premium leather, found leather to be soft and pliable. Bottom is textured, should prevent and slips and slides. These fit as expected enough room in the toe area so feet don't feel smushed

Plastic Feel w/ Squelchy Sound
Shoes may have been designed to complete a preppy summer look but that aesthetic is completely ruined by leather so fake it looks like plastic. Even worse is the squelchy sound that happens when these interwoven leather strips start rubbing against each other. Honestly, it’s so loud as to make these unwearable in any situation without plenty of noise cover.
