Great Quality, Extremely Comfortable and Very Sharp Looking Boots!
*Edit 12/23: I just replaced the ones I bought in 2018 with another pair. These have been outstanding shoes.I've been buying Dockers chukka boots for several years, but they no longer make the ones I like, so I had to look elsewhere for something similar. I had a REALLY bad experience with Clark's, which are the only shoes I've ever had to return, as those were so uncomfortable and badly designed I couldn't make myself like them. So I know what lousy shoes are like. Then I saw these Nunn Bush boots, and since they were on sale and I liked the way they looked in the picture, I gave them a try.I've had them for about four months and I'm really impressed with the quality and comfort of these boots, and are EASILY the most comfortable I've ever owned. I would've switched from the Dockers years ago if I had known how nice these are. In fact I saved my old pair of Dockers to wear when raining, and when I put those on after a few weeks of wearing the Nunn Bush's, it really became clear just how nice and comfortable these boots are.The quality is outstanding, and they have three eyelets, like others have mentioned, which makes a big difference in how they look and feel. My only complaint is they are a little 'beefier' than my Dockers were. They don't have the appearance of being work boots, but they aren't as refined as some other chukka boots I've seen, including my old Dockers. This is only a minor quibble though; these boots look REALLY nice, and the quality and color of the suede is outstanding. I find myself having to rub them down with a damp microfiber towel every week or so to 'refresh' the suede, and I've avoided using any type of protector product out of concern for discoloring them. They've held up remarkably well in the winter weather here in Ohio where I live. I've been wearing them now since November and they really look almost as nice as the day I bought them. I can't stress enough how comfortable and well made these boots are. With this purchasing experience, I've definitely taken notice of Nunn Bush as a company, and am looking forward to trying other products they make.I wear these in more casual type settings, but I feel they'd be OK in a business casual setting as well. They look great with jeans or khakis. While sturdy and well made, I don't feel these are meant to be hiking boots.Sizing is just about perfect. I would recommend ordering exactly your size, or maybe one half size larger if you like a looser fit.Regarding the chemical smell issues others have mentioned; yes there is an odor to these when they come out of the box. It's common to have this with some leather/suede products, and with these boots, it faded quickly. I think too much has been made of this issue, personally, and should not deter anyone from ordering them.If you are looking for some really nice looking, quality suede boots, these are a steal for the price. I'm very impressed with Nunn Bush. Highly recommended!!

Perhaps the best shoe I've owned
I purchased a brown pair of Nunn Bush Lancaster chukka boots in January 2018 and have been wearing them almost daily since. Now, in September 2019, I leave this review to share my experiences with this shoe now that my pair are at the end of their life, as a testament to the quality and longevity of this product.Admittedly, part of the reason I was able to use these shoes for so long was because I used removable insoles in these shoes throughout their life. That said, no shoe - insole or not- can last this long if it isn't well built, and the Lancaster is absolutely a well-built shoe. When I first received these shoes I found that they were a bit too large for my foot, particularly in the toe. There is a lot of excess room in the toe. This wasn't an issue though, because once I installed my own insoles, they fit well to my 11.5 size foot. I would recommend ordering a half size down if you plan on using these shoes as-is.To this day, the leather outer of this shoe seems of excellent quality. It's thick and supple and has yet to split, tear, or otherwise break even to this day. I'm actually sad that I will have to buy a new pair soon because the leather on this shoe, when properly maintained, feels as though it could last a lifetime. The first thing to break on these shoes were the inner lining. At the back of the shoe it feels like a thin suede material. It broke first at the heel and the rear wall of the shoe. Later, the hard support at the back of the heel broke after enough use. On one shoe, it split along the rear seam of the shoe while on the other, it was reduced to pieces (see photos).Obviously, the sole of this shoe is thoroughly worn out. The heel is rounded and while it has NOT broken through yet, it does seem as if my pair will have holes in them very soon should I continue to wear them. Likewise the toe has been rounded down. Were it not for my insoles, I'm sure I would have gotten a lot less use from this shoe. The memory foam in the stock sole has long since perished from wear and overuse. The only other thing to break on this shoe were the laces, which only in the past couple weeks began to fray in the middle. I simply replaced them and the problem was solved. If one wishes to get a lot of longevity out of these or any leather shoe, they will eventually have to take care of the leather itself. For me that meant only cleaning the shoe with a wet rag and soft brush, and applying a leather conditioner or saddle soap to the outside of the shoe. This quenched dry, worn, and scuffed spots in the leather and made the shoes look brand new. Keep in mind I only had to do this once in all my time owning this pair. This shoe has seen everything. From winter snow, to rain, to total submersion in mud. From navigating college campuses to a part-time job waiting tables. Every time it has bounced back. Any shoe that can last nearly two years of daily use with minimal maintenance is a good shoe in my book. Even when parts of this shoe began to break down, it remained comfortable and usable. All in all, this is a tough, good looking shoe that is ready for everything you can throw at it. It is absolutely worth every penny of the price and then some and I will certainly be purchasing another pair.

Great chukkas
I spent a couple of weeks looking at every chukka I could find online and at local stores. I was looking for for the 'right' mix of style and leather texture. I wanted it to have that rugged, weathered look while maintaining a quality feel...and be reasonably priced. Every shoe I liked all seemed to have something I didn't like. The Nunn has exactly the hip look I wanted, the suede is very subtle like moleskin, and fits perfectly . . I honestly felt like everyone was admiring them walking through a restaurant tonight. NOTE: the suede finish is prone to scuffing, I'm a little paranoid everytime something contacts them. Buffing with a terrycloth towel seems to take them out.

I was a little bit nervous at first
I was nervous that these would be too wide or narrow without trying them on first, but they fit great! I bought a wide size, and they are pretty true to size, and I have wide feet. They are very nice looking, and the quality seems to be very good. Definitely pick up a combination suede brush with boar and brass bristles to keep them looking nice. Some people complain about a smell. They have a slight chemical smell, but it's probably just the chemicals from tanning the leather. It's really not bad, and smells like a new shoe. It went away after wearing the shoes a few times

Heavy and Comfortable inside but very hot shoe
I wear them for few weeksIt's really hot and comfy shoes. And also heavy, so beware about it.Not suitable for hot weather in my opinion as you will swaet the hell out of your feet.Aside of that, it's beautiful and comfortable shoe. A bit heavy thought. In summary - great shoe if you live in cold weather area. The shoe is true to legth & width and a bit heavy.
