Sturdy, Waterproof, and Great for Winter - But Run Wide

These high-ankle sneakers (or hiking shoes) are impressive for the price. They’re fully waterproof, and the traction is strong enough that I don’t feel uneasy on wet or slippery surfaces. For winter conditions, they’ve been reliable keeping my feet dry and providing solid stability. One thing to note is the fit: they run wide. This can be a positive if you have naturally wide feet or plan to wear thick socks in cold weather. Otherwise, they may feel a bit loose. I was also unsure about the length at first, but after breaking them in, they felt natural and comfortable.Overall, they’re a sturdy, winter-friendly option with good grip and waterproof protection. For summer use, the extra width is a bit much for me, but for cold-weather wear, they’re a great value.

Uncomfortable

I found the "CNPAWS Men's Waterproof Hiking Boots Non-Slip Lightweight Trail Sneakers" very uncomfortable on my feet. However, others may find them comfortable as I'm admittedly hard to fit. I have a narrow heel and wide toe area.I've had ankle hiking boots in the past so I'm familiar with various shoelace configurations. The boots have three holes at the ankle. I tried all the holes and several lacing combinations but none of them alleviated the discomfort. The boots rubbed my pinky toes, pressed too hard on my inner ankle bone, and the top edge rubbed my legs even with tall socks. I wore them on 3 different occasions but couldn't stand to wear them very long.I think the boots need more cushioning. The support feels fine but I'd add an insole if I was going to wear them. The sole has good traction. They're somewhat lightweight. The quality seems ok but not great.

True to size, comfortable soles and width for my flat feet. I love the style and look.

I’m not much of a hiker. Don’t get me wrong, I love hiking. The only problem is no one in my family has any desire to move purposefully outdoors in the “wild.” Regardless, I ordered these waterproof hiking boots for two main reasons: I wanted something to keep my feet comfortable and dry while playing disc golf in some pretty swampy areas, and—honestly—because they look very sharp in faded jeans. They worked well on the disc golf course thanks to the pretty aggressive tread, and the waterproof claim was no joke. I may have ended up in more than one water hazard (read: drainage creek) and was able to retrieve my disc with bone-dry socks the whole day. I ended up playing 54 holes on two consecutive weekends, and these boots remained exceedingly comfortable throughout.Regarding fit, I am 5’5” and wear a solid size 9.5. However, I’m as flat-footed as a duck and normally have issues with highly structured footwear, especially boots. These, fortunately, had plenty of room in the toe box and the arch width. Additionally, the insoles were spongy but supportive, making for hour-long comfort and zero hotspots. A quick tip: I lace my boots up very loosely at the toe, getting progressively tighter as I move toward the ankle. For me this proved a perfect way to wear these, and I had no issues.Overall, the materials and quality seem excellent. In the several weeks I’ve had them, I haven’t noticed any wear or tear, and they look as good as new. I would consider these boots to be a solid value and would easily recommend them to anyone wanting what I consider to be casual but highly functional hiking footwear.

Comfortable and well made (Wide fit)

These are very well made and they are waterproof. It is raining pretty hard right now and I wore them out on my driveway where I usually slip in shoes when wet (gloss finish pavers.). They stuck like glue and the water just beaded right off of them. They seem to be just as sticky as my Columbia waterproof hiking boots. They are a VERY wide fit for a non-wide size shoe. I typically wear a size 11 and was sent a pair marked 44.5. The length is about right an maybe a little smaller if not so wide. I had to tighten the laces pretty tight to get them snug, but I can still feel my foot move around a little on the insole. I don't really feel any arch support and will be switching the insole out for one of my better arch support insoles which I do for all my shoes. I have not found a single pair of shoes right out of the box from any manufacturer that actually had an insole with good arch support. So I can not knock these either. The construction of these looks top notch just like the higher end name brands. Not cheap with glue all over them like some of the cheaper stuff found in the discount stores. Very comfortable and relatively light weight for a trail shoe. The only real oddity is the way they were shipped. Not in a box, but shrink wrapped together. Outside of that, no complaints. Overall, for the price, these are a great bargain for the quality of the shoe. I will be alternating between these and my Columbia's this winter.

Good for the price. A fine option.

Pretty good, for the price. If you're on a tight budget and looking for a decent boot that will protect your feet outdoors, then I think these are a good choice. They have a lot of cushion and a lot of room to really cinch down the laces to your preference. The tread is fine--grippy enough for most envirionments. I'm not sure about how they handle wet, slippery rocks. I haven't tested them in a river, yet. They seem tough enough. Give them time to wear in.Room for improvement? When I tighten the laces sufficiently the toe box creases slightly, creating an unattractive ridge. They're not too big, the measurements are just imprecise. Also, some of the layers of material are not glued to the edge, so they protrude slightly. Again, it's a fine boot at the price, but you get what you pay for.
