come with extra insoles if you don't like the arch

At first when I tried on these shoes, I didn't like them because I felt a lot of pressure at the bottom my foot arch. Luckily, they come with another pair of insoles that are flat. After installing those, the shoes became really comfortable! I had an accident that broke my left foot and leg, and as a result I have a deformed foot. My great toe needs more room in shoes, but wide width shoes are too loose and do not give my feet the support they need. Because these shoes are only wide at the toes, they give the extra room I need to prevent getting calluses on the outside of my great toe like I do with other shoes and boots. The soles are not built as well as other shoes I have, so I don't know how long these will hold up. The rubber is pretty soft, but that also helps with the comfort. They have a similar feeling to "barefoot shoes" but are not as flimsy everywhere else. The leather part is much better quality, and is comfortable and looks nice. I really prefer these shoes when I need to wear them for long periods of time, like at work.I walk over 22,000 steps a day, and these are the most comfortable shoes I have tried so far. They do not seem to slip on grass, hard wood, and tile floors. They must have good ventilation, because my feet do not get nearly as hot in these as they do in other shoes. I have ended up really liking these shoes.

Surprisingly awesome. Who knew? 😎

Actually great shoes.Have me rethinking everything as I frequently spend double or triple for name brand shoes and these are great right out of the box. I've gone through all the big and smaller newer brands in the past, so I'm not flying blind here.2 pairs of insoles is a sweet gift I've never gotten before. These are pretty substantial ones with the arch support which typically i thought I didn't need or it hurt me to wear, but not with these. No break in period, supportive on the arch while wide toe box doesn't squeeze my toes. I usually have to go with a 9.5 or 10 in standard shoes, and these 9s fit me perfectly.Feels and looks like an Altra if I had to compare it. Didn't really think I'd try these to run with, as I'm somewhat snobby and scared of injury so I buy expensive trainers, but I ran 5 miles in these and didn't get any blisters or pains, except for what you would get from any zero drop. Probably shouldn't have pushed that far as they take time to acclimate to, but I feel fine today. Shoes show no signs of wear on the foam or the crease over the toes which my $250 carbon plated race shoes certainly did after the first run.Upper might be a little thick for super long runs in the summer, but for comfort it's amazing. Felt about the same weight as my normal daily running shoes. Styling is pretty neutral which is fine by me. No weird off brand name or silly words printed on them which would be a deal breaker but these can fly under the radar. Really my ego should just sit back and enjoy the comfort of the shoes and the cash in my pocket moving forward. If I could find any cons, I guess the tread on the bottom isn't going to be super grippy in trail or dirt as the lugs are pretty thin but that's not what it's designed for.

My feet have finally reached the ground

These shoes are "zero drop," which means the heel and the front are at the same level. Usually, shoes try to trick you into thinking you’re walking slightly downhill all day, but these shoes are honest. They tell the truth. My feet are flat on the earth, just like nature intended before someone decided we all needed to be two inches taller while jogging. The wide toe box is a real luxury. My toes used to be roommates in a very small apartment, but now they each have their own studio. They can spread out. They can have opinions. It’s an athletic walking sneaker, which is a polite way of saying these are for people who want to look like they might start running at any second, but probably won't. They are very comfortable for standing still, which is my favorite athletic activity. For the price, you get a lot of floor. The quality is solid; they haven't fallen apart, and the laces are very good at staying tied in the shape of a bow. If you enjoy knowing exactly where the sidewalk is at all times, these are the shoes for you. They don't have a lot of secrets.

Simple, comfortable, and very wearable.

First, the pros of these shoes: 1) A very generous toe box! I have 4E width feet and after loosening the laces, these fit very comfortably and have not created pressure points on my toes. 2) A simple design works in their favor to make a shoe that doesn't scream FITNESS; yes it looks like a sneaker but if folks can get away with wearing toms-like shoes at work, these should also pass. There really aren't any visible logos, just solid, neutral colors. 3) A very nice amount of cushioning that is responsive, has a bit of bounce and yet doesn't feel too pillowy. I've been using them on morning jogs with the dog and they have respectable shock absorption that should satisfy any casual runner/jogger. I can't say how they'd feel after more than 5+ miles in a single session, though. 4) An extra pair of insoles! 5) low-med arch support makes these a great choice for people with middle-of-the-road arches and minimal pronation.Cons: 1) The tread pattern is very low-profile. I was genuinely worried about traction when these arrived, mainly because there was also one heck of a rainstorm going on. But even on wet pavement, they held to the ground okay. That said, I definitely would NOT recommend them for trail running. These outsoles feel more like the kind you find on a pair of tigers. 2) The laces are super thin (ribbon-like) and have a cheap feel to them. I'm probably going to replace them.I never would have thought to look beyond major brands for wide-toe shoes, but I'm very glad I did. Putting holes in the sides of famous Japanese brands was getting expensive, and I don't have to worry about that so much anymore.
