Good, according to a 10yo
Ordered these for my son. Wasn't sure he'd make any real use of them, but he likes them. He wore them to school once (he's in 4th grade) and seems that everyone told him they were too fancy for school lol. I'd have to agree with them, especially for elementary school, but I let him do his own thing. He said they were comfortable enough. They creased quickly, but not surprising for this kind of shoe, as they all seem to do that. The velvet is soft, softer than I anticipated, with a bit of sheen. They don't seem super high quality, but with occasional wear, they should last awhile. Wish I could speak more to the fit, but son isn't very forthcoming with details lol.

When I do a review, my first and most important question is the accuracy of the information the seller provided as well as the pictures. Then I get into the quality, etc. These shoes are accurately described as velvet loafers. Not sure about the "wedding dress shoes" but...ok. I don't think I would wear these to a wedding, but that may be just me, I may not go to functions with enough class lol.Now to the shoes. Frankly, I like them. I picked up the white ones with the plain strap across the top. They appear to me to be well made with good stitching across the uppers and the sole appears well attached. Slipping into them, I discovered that they fit fairly well. I normally wear a size 9.5 but ordered 10 because, first, most shoes here have run small and they didn't have half sizes available. That said, they are just a little bit loose, but they aren't looose enough to cause blisters or anything, so there is that. There is no arch support to speak of so I can expect that if I wear them long enough my feet might hurt a little bit.All of that said, I took one star away...upon close examination, there appears to be something pink around the areas where the straps are stitched to the shoe. At first glance you might miss it and I was trying to figure out where it came from. On closer inspection, it's there on both sides of both shoes. That's really too bad.I don't quite know what I'll use these for except when I'm on vacation, especially cruises or resorts, sometimes there is a white night, and I think these will be perfect for that.All said and done, 4 stars, one taken for pink stuff near the straps.

My father always wore tan loafers any time he wasn't wearing cowboy boots. So, the last pair of loafers I owned was from before I could switch to oxfords. However, these were interesting to me and lately I've made my dress shoes less formal. I worried a little about the gold buckle being a bit over the top, but firsthand I think it was the right call. The shoes are the right size lengthwise. My issue is that my feet narrowed when I lost weight so without socks these feel like they'd be a little wide for me but are likely the right width for most. Looks like I'm sticking with socks. The soles look like they'll hold up. The insole is there, but pretty minimal compared to casual footwear. Compared to dress shoes, it's more along the legacy of insoles than the new high end foot cupping insoles, but I recognize those come with an equally eye watering price tag that this pair didn't. These feel like they'll be good for special occasions and are very reasonable for that purpose.
