More than I expected!
Finally! I have purchased shoes that do what I need them to do. I walk between 3 to 4 miles a day. I needed shoes that would perform in rain and snow. I haven’t had inclement weather since my purchase but I am extremely pleased with the comfort of these shoes, especially at the rear of my arch and heel area. I have paid for expensive inserts for shoes before but I get the same or better results from these shoes without an insert. This is supposed to be a specialty shoe for me but I now need another pair for casual wear.

Great Shoe! Very Comfortable!
I bought these hiking shoes because I was going on a trip abroad and saw there was going to me rain. I also have plantar fasciitis and needed a high arch. I wore them for a week ahead of my trip and found them very comfortable as is. I did not need to put my $700 inserts in them! When the trip came, I wore them for many miles daily, without pain! They kept my feet dry, too. I'm very happy with them and just ordered two different pair in sneaker form, in different styles and color. The shoes performed well and still look great, suggesting that they are durable and in for a long haul.

Walk Hero vs Arch-Nemesis
The dad joke title was just too obvious, apologies. I am actually using these shoes at work instead of their intended purpose of hiking, but I will address them in both settings as best I can.Initial impressions were they are in fact lightweight, with a nicely muted design. The fabric is quite clearly rugged and waterproof, but the lack of a gusseted tongue and overall low-profile limit their ability to keep your feet dry from much more than moderate rain or splashes. Which is fine for me at work but if I was taking them hiking I would draw issue with. The toe cap is really just outer rubber, not any true protection but more for just potential stubs. Fine for my application, fine for hiking. The sole pattern and depth is definitely right for outdoors, they offer a ton of grip on natural surfaces, actually better for hiking than on the hospital floors I am using them on. The laces are absurdly long, not sure why, less than ideal for hiking where they could snag but okay for my purposes. They do have cheap plastic caps, so I don't have a lot of faith in their longevity, especially with the excessive length.Putting them on I was immediately shocked at the "aggressive" arch support. Granted, I normally wear minimalist and often zero-drop shoes, but these made me think I had left some part of the packaging in there. But as I have gotten older, long shifts on my feet have taken their toll so I resolved to give them a chance. And I am glad I did. It took about three shifts before they felt normal, but after two weeks of use I actually have noticed a reduction in heel pain, both at the end of shifts and first thing in the morning. If I was rating these as orthotic work shoes, I probably would give them five stars. They are durable, comfortable, getting results, and have a professional enough look to wear in my position. However, as hiking shoes, which they are marketed at, the lack of a gusseted tongue and the laces aren't really acceptable at this price point. And while the tread and toe cap are hiking appropriate, I also think if I was taking them on trails I would like to see a bit more toe spring, the very flat design is more appropriate for level surfaces.

Comfortable and supportive
Very comfortable and supportive. These are my fourth pair, and I’m going to buy more. This is a great color too, however I would advise against the dark gray
