Quality shoes deliver on height increase but heel is uncomfortable, like standing on a rock
First impressions: Quality leather dress shoes that look unassuming butfor the 1" inch heel (pic2).Once you slip your feet in, you'll notice that your heel doesn't go all the way down to the bottom of the shoe. There is another internal heel that takes up half of the shoes interior. In picture one my finger shows how high the heel rises inside the shoe. It's all the way up to the stitching (pic1).SIZING: maybe it is because it's new but I had to use a shoe horn to get my foot inside. The opening around the ankle was tight. Sizing is accurate. These size10.5 are exactly 12" inches from toe to heel. I sized up 1 larger than my normal 9.5 because overseas products tend to be cut smaller. It seems that this was unnecessary. Keep in mind that this shoe has a square cut toe (pic3). If you need a wider area for your toes then that narrow square tip then you may want to upsize a half. In hindsight, a size 9.5 would have been sufficient for me.In summary, sizing is accurate.HEEL: traction is okay for a dress shoe (pic4). The bottom sole is mostly smooth but it's made of rubber so it's not as slippery as most shoes tend to be.QUALITY: leather leather quality is excellent. Leather is finished and polished smooth. Letter is supple and there's no evidence of cracking anywhere. Stitching is good with no stray strands. Overall the quality of these shoes are excellent.CONS: There is no cushion in the heel. Every available space and heel has been used for the lift. It's like walking on a piece of wood. I don't know if I can get used to this hard shoe without adding a cushion insert. Infortunately there is no room to insert anything else because the heel already goes as high as it gets away with. If you plan to wear this for long period of time you may want to consider upsizing by a half size so you have room to add either a cushion or a thicker socks because these are very uncomfortable to stand in.FINAL THOUGHTS:These shoes are definitely well made and of good quality. It delivers on the height increase but, the heel is very uncomfortable with ZERO cushion. I guess beauty hurts. These shoes deliver on increasing your height.The price is high but so is its quality. I do recommend these shoes, but be aware that the lifts in the heel make these uncomfortable.
