I ordered a size up thinking these would run small like a lot of shoes do, and these are definitely true to size, lol.The boots are pretty awesome though, they have an almost corporate goth aesthetic to them.
These boots have a classic yet edgy look to them with the chain detail. I was concerned about the boot donning process as the inside zipper extends behind the strap. However, the inside strap is closed with a snap that comes undone for full zipper use. It is still a bit awkward to unzip the bottom of the zipper behind the ankle strap but it’s doable. The zipper itself is a bit stiff, I expect this will loosen up with regular wear. They seem to have good arch support and light padding on the sole. These boots were shipped in a double layer of plastic bags. The packaging was a bit rough and scuffed by the time they arrived, but the boots themselves were not damaged. My son is excited about styling these with jeans, dress pants, and a tactical kilt.
