Very stylish, great is adverse weather, bit abrasive at the top, solid
These are some nice dress shoes, very stylish. The stitching is clean throughout, no manufacturing defects anywhere. The soles are definitely the attention getter with these shoes, with good height, great traction, and solid construction. They are heavier than your average sole because of their size, but feel like they are durable and will last a long time. The faux patent leather is very shinny and formal, hopefully it will hold up, faux leather is definitely more durable than it used to be.When it comes to comfort, these aren't the best on first wearing. The material is rather stiff around the upper edge and feels a bit abrasive when walking. Perhaps they will break in and soften up a bit over time. There is good room for foot width and they are otherwise comfortable and true to size. I also noticed that the shoes are subject to light creasing after walking, common with faux leather shoes (see up close photos).I am overall happy with these shoes and like the modern style. They are especially good in snow and adverse weather. Good value at this price, recommend!

Decent shoes, but they are shiny, reminds me of bronzed baby shoes
The first thing that entered my mind when I removed these from the packaging was bronzed baby shoes. I don't know if they do that anymore, but these look like bronzed adult shoes. Then I thought, why would I wanted to wear bronzed adult shoes? Appearance is subjective though, so it won't affect my rating. Besides, I have no idea what is in fashion these days, not that I really care. I'm not the bold or edgy type though, and I have no idea what "urban edge" even means.These looked really narrow before I tried them on, but they're not. They actually fit pretty well, although walking around the house in them for 10 minutes isn't the same as wearing them all day long. They seem well made.They're really shiny and the soles are thick. Did I mention they're shiny? My wife thinks they look good, and she has much better taste when it comes to things like this than I do, so I'll defer to her judgement. In fairness, I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt and I'm sure they would look much better if I had a pair of jeans or dockers on. They're really shiny though.I really have little occasion to wear nice shoes other than going to church or the occasional wedding or funeral, but it was time for a new pair of brown shoes so I'll wear them a while and see if people start avoiding me or not. Maybe I need a fashion upgrade. I'll never wear shows like this without socks though, unlike the dude in one of the pictures. Not cool.It's been a while since I purchased a decent pair of shoes like this, and the price seems very reasonable.

Great shoes but weird color
These shoes are very comfortable, and the size matches my usual size 8. I really like how they feel and fit. However, I am unsure about the color. It is hard to describe and even harder to decide how I feel about it. The design reminds me of a painting that does not quite belong on a shoe, and it feels unnatural. I keep thinking no one would take me seriously wearing them.I know it comes down to personal taste, and this color seems like something you either like or you do not. I think I am leaning toward not liking it. If the finish were not shiny, I believe it would make a big difference. The shine gives it a strange look that is difficult to get past. I also worry that the color will wear out quickly and start looking faded or damaged after just a few uses.I love the shoes overall, but I am torn about the color. It is hard to put into words, but something about it just does not sit right with me. The color makes me question how long the shoes will hold up visually, even though the comfort and fit are excellent.
