Make sure to order the right size, Euro does not translate to expected US size
I am at the point I need comfortable shoes that can live through my travels. I need stylish, comfort and a shoe that can adapt. I love Dansko and Naot but you can only find so many cute non ortho looking shoes in a brand. I looked everywhere for this Lissandra in Chestnut and found them. I called Goodman's to confirm the sizing due to the cost I wanted to get it right. He held them until I placed my order (within minutes of hanging up the phone) and I got them earlier than expected. I love the fact they look like they buckle but they have Velcro. I travel to some hot climates, my feet will swell a bit and then I end up with blisters from shoes I can wear comfortably any other time. I love the foot bed, these are an investment and cost a lot but I have learned buy a few good, comfortable shoes that will hold up over time and give my feet and body the support they need.As for sizing, I wear a 9.5 and in most Euro sizes I take a 40 (sizing up to an equivalent of a 10) but in Dansko I wear a 41 as well as in Naot. Now that generally translates to a size US 11. In Mephisto a 41 is a size 11 so I was scared to spend almost $300 with tax on the wrong size but I was told if I wear a 41 in the other comparable brands I should order a 41 and I will say it fits my 9.5M US size perfectly with just a little room at the end of the footbed, but in the sense of the proper amount, not too much. I added they fit as expected based on the guidance I received but not how the size chart translates Euro to US sizing.

Lasted a dozen wears

A winning style
I actually saw someone else wearing these sandals and admired them. Then I discovered they were Mephistos! This is such a well made product. I have 2 other styles. One pair is 21 years old, the other 14 years old. They still look great and feel great. This style looks nice with a long dress, long skirt, short skirt, skinny jeans and ankle length pants. Very versatile and comfortable.

Fantastic sandals!
These sandals were comfortable from the beginning. With hidden velcro straps, they adjust minutely and perfectly. Good to wear all day walking.

Not thrilled and should be
There’s something off about these, can’t put my finger on it. It’s a soft material not a smooth leather look. Both pair I bought seemed to run slightly narrow. I’ve tried on Memphistos at stores and they all and always felt perfect - these I bought on line here do not have that perfect feel. These blue ones fit better than the brown ones I bought. With a higher quality expensive item I think it’s best to bite the bullet, pay a higher price and try them on before you buy them.
