Stylisth, Very Comfortable, High Quality Shoes for All Day Walking
I am a long time mephisto fan. But some of their older styles are frankly kind of doddy. I ordered these to wear for a trip to Tokyo, as these look fashionable and comfortable. My feet are on the narrow side with high arches. These are extremely comfort to wear all day. While the shoes already have pretty good insoles with good arch support, my feet are skinny and bony, so I ordered these 1/2 size larger so I can put another thin flat insole under the original removable insoles for more padding, knowing I'll be walking on concrete all day. They worked perfectly. First, the shoes look expensive, high quality leather and the lizard pattern is on trend. The laces are white with sparkly silver, which dresses the shoes up even more. I wore these with pants and day dresses. I ran all over Tokyo with these shoes all day and night and my feet were blister free and comfortable. The shoes also seem to breathe well since it was in the 80sF there, but feet did not feel overly warm in these shoes. Highly recommend them.Since the insole are fully removable, you can replace the insoles with your own insoles, but because shoes are kind of dressy, if the insoles are too thick and raise your feet up to high, you may feel your heel slip.

Almost a year ago, a woman got on the Metro at the National Airport wearing these. They stood out as she was well-dressed with impressive jewelry. I asked the brand, bought them and now I'm online to buy another pair. Not because they've worn out. If I were to give them a good wipe, it would be hard to tell their age, it's just that I want a pair in two different locations because of my commute. They are pricey, but worth every penny. I wanted something "athleticy" , but a tad dressier and I didn't want to buy sneakers. These fit the bill. I can even get away with business casual trousers or a casual dress with these. Buy a slip in arch support and you can walk (and look good) for hours. I LOVE these shoes. These and the FLY LONDON'S I swear by as far as comfort goes. But these have a casual sophistication that is so attractive.They were a little snug at first, but stretched out nicely to the width of my medium foot. I get many comments about them.

No more feet issues
They are the best shoe ever; I have plantar fasciitis (or did have) and since wearing these I can walk my 3-4 miles a day with NO pain. Have tried taping, cheap splints, physical therapy but nothing helped until I found these shoes.Nothing like Mephisto and I bought another pair so I can have them when they other wears out.I cannot say enough great things about this shoe. If you want comfort and durability then this shoe is for you.

Although I took a second pr. of shoes to work, I was able to Comfortably wear these shoes for a 10 hour day on my feet as a Physical Therapist the very first day I wore them! And, they look pretty nice too. Think I'll order them in any colors they come in; as Mephisto has a tendency to discontinue my favorite style shoes a few years after I decide they're my favorite!

Good looking, great support, and good fit!
I love the fit and insole support of this shoe. The heel hugs my heel and the arch fits perfectly. I like that the shoe heels are cut a little lower than some of my athletic shoes, so they don't cut into my ankle at all. I would like a little more cushion in the front of the shoe. I added a thin insole cushion in the front. I sprayed the shoes with weatherproofing, but I'm afraid they will be difficult to clean when they need it. The sparkle outer leather seems like it is too thin to wear well- very lightweight nubuck-, although the shoes are lined with leather also.
