Best Tactical Footwear I've Ever Spent Money On!
Since 2018 my footwear selection has been made up almost exclusively of Merrell products and when I decided that it was time to add a tactical shoe to my selection of work footwear, Merrell was, again, my first choice. For years I have alternating between my 8" and 6" MOAB 2 tactical boots but when I decided to ditch the 6" boots and go with shoes I decided to give these a try because I'm just not a big fan of low top hikers.I am so glad I went with these too. They are so incredibly comfortable because they are lightweight and ultra breathable. I've been wearing them at work for a couple weeks now and I couldn't be more pleased. When I get home from work and kick my off my shoes, my feet aren't soaking wet and it doesn't feel like I've just removed two boat anchors from them. Obviously these shoes don't have true "ankle support" but I've worn these while working a couple of special events at a bar and when I woke up the next morning, my ankles were nowhere near as sore as times in the past when I made the "wrong" decision to wear my 6" boots, instead of my 8" boots, to a post or special event that called for a lot of standing and/or walking.These are great shoes and, if I had anything negative to say about them, I would say that the insoles they come with aren't the best. If I hadn't already decided to go with a different brand's insoles before I even ordered these, I would have preferred for them to come with some of the orange insoles Merrell puts in all of their other tactical products.

Very comfy
I bought these for work as a police officer in a beach town. So far they grip very well and are light enough for hot weather. If they hold up like this for a while they are a very good shoe.

Great Shoe! Minor Issues With It However!
Overall, this shoe is fantastic! The two complaints I have regarding this shoe has to deal with how the shoe ACTUALLY fits. Now, I normally wear a 9.0 U.S size shoe. I bought a 9.0 and unfortunately, the shoe is a little tight in terms of width AND a little tight regarding the toe box. HOWEVER, I think that's by design. This shoe I think is made to fit tightly around your foot based on how it's designed. I think it's designed to allow you as much control over your shoe and your foot as humanly possible based on how this shoe is designed. Which is for tactical purposes.Other than the two negatives which are the toe box size and the overall width of the shoe... The shoe is fantastic! And I HIGHLY recommend it! Just keep in mind that the shoe is a VERY tight fit if you buy the size shoe you normally buy!The arch support is something I think REALLY shines for this shoe! And if you're walking on rough solid terrain such as paved roads or concrete floors in a retail or work environment... This shoe is great! HOWEVER, if you NEED a shoe for off-road performance... This might not be the shoe for you and I'd recommend the Moab 2 Tactical Shoe which is made by Merrell!

Great work shoes

Good work shoe

Size mismatches reality
My size is 9. My feet are a dream for shoe makers - I rarely have a problem with shoes of my size. Not with these shoes though. Too small.Otherwise, they are good quality. Tough, good arch support.
