Nice boots

Has really held up well under strenuous, steep trails through Northern California national forests/parks. Minimal-no foot or ankle fatigue. Good traction. Heavier than a shoe but what one should expect from a boot built for extra stability and protection. Pleased with my purchase thus far.

Didn't even need to break them in

Highly recommended, wore them on a decent hike and was glad I made the upgrade. Soles are firm ad supportive, ankles were soft and flexible. Great hiking boot.

Fits well as sized.

The ease of ordering and two weeks early arrival, along with great value make this a solid 5.

Good for, comfortable, not too durable

Boot fit well, very comfortable for long days in the field, but didn’t last as long is hoped it would. Started to fall apart after ~3 months of regular use.

Way to hot!!

Great for a winter hiking boot, but they are very warm!! Otherwise, just like most of Merrell products 2nd to none

Comfortable but not durable.

Just to be fair I’m probably a little rougher on my boots than most people. I only had them for about a year and while they still are comfortable they’re just not holding up. As you can see from the photo the soul starting to let go and the tops are fraying all along the sides near the toe on both shoes. The bottom of both souls are worn almost smooth. They were only water resistant for about a week. This was my introduction to Merrell and I’m afraid to say my only and last pair. If your just needing a pair of hiking boots to use every once in a while I’m sure they they would be fine but every day wear I would have to say not so much.
