Good hiking boot
Have been happy with Merrell boots and footwear for many years. Husband needed a pair of hiking boots for an upcoming trip but has wide feet so it's not easy to find shoes or boots that fit him. We ordered his regular shoe size 11 in wide. Not all hiking boots (of any manufacturer) are offered in wide. This boot fits very well. Is light weight and comfortable to walk in. He is very pleased. Hoping it will hold up for years of wear. Time will tell.

Really nice
Just started wearing these shoes today. Fit nice; light; very comfortable. Wouldn’t be comfortable in the summertime - it’s waterproof- but I have a pair of lighter Merrells for that.

Work worthy
These boots are amazing and are able to uphold their integrity through tough work conditions. They are waterproof and fit very well. This is my husband's second pair. He says they have great support and arch support.

Size L is too large but M is too short if your personal size is 30. . It’s still a great belt, just doesn’t fit.

It is not LOWA or ASOLO!
Like: Overall it is OK as I have so many other great pairs of boots I can wear. Can't have this one only for daily use though!I would wear LOWA or ASOLO every day and any season. These MERREL are a bit hot (waterproofing I guess) for all-day use in mid to high temperatures. You will notice that on the first day of use. Also not mentioned is the bacterial treatment! So, don't overwear them during hot period if not needed. The top will hurt a bit if you lace it too tight. {tightness allows extreme ankle support]. Sole is GREAT for anything: from urban to hiking and even backpacking. (Not a mountaineering shoe though you can wear daily) Maybe the ARCH is too pronounced and too much in the back of the feet unless you need it this way. Not too noticeable though. Despite its lightweight, it seems solid. For $80 I could not resist as I could not find a size 9.5 SCARPA Boreas on sale for less than $180. Neither could I find a LOWA or ASOLO at a "reasonable" price, in the US at least. That said, it is "good enough" for the job. Going with Columbia Redmont was my other choice as I had 2 pairs in the past. Although the REDMONT is light-duty compare to this Merrel. But the price was "OK" for MERREL [on sale] and Redmond would not last more than a year due to the front protective rubber tip design that detaches from the mesh with a mesh also not solid enough. But for the price, mid to upper 60s, a Redmon is STILL a very good boot, good enough for a year of use at least. The best-ever shoe I wore was LOWA Tempest: not done anymore.Mid-ankle height, Weight, Comfort, Sole thickness w/out rigidity, ruggedness, and appearance (daily wear) were my criteria with PRICE. Merrel made it at 88%. - I would have preferred a Scarpa! or better, LOWA.

Very comfortable and good looking
I’ve got a wide foot and these are really awesome hiking boots. Very comfortable all around. Highly recommend. I used to buy Keen hiking boots for my son and myself but their quality has really dropped and the soles just literally fall off of multiple pairs so I’m done with Keen. These Merrell’s are awesome!
