Happy with my purchase: My new all purpose shoe.

These are the second pair of trail gloves. My first pair lasted until the soles wore down. 1st I’ll say whatever your shoe size is order a 1/2 size up. I’m not 11.5 , I got a 12 and have plenty of room at the top. I’ll advise if you have very wide feet this may be the best option for you. They are narrow. My feet are slightly wide and the fit was a bit tight when I first put them on (I also had sock on, some people may do barefoot) that got better after I adjusted the laces. I wore the on the treadmill and ran 2 miles with no pain, it also helped break them in from that initial tightness l. I’ll say they are good for trail walking. I’ll be using the for work, I do a lot of walking, working out and every day shoe. I would recommend them but they may not be for everyone.

Awesome Shoes

I love Merrell shoes!!! I appreciate the barefoot technology. This shoe is a great quality shoe & very durable, flexible. The top of the shoe is a gray mesh fabric so it keeps my foot cool & the sole is vibram which makes it slip resistant also that makes it last forever. The arch support is reasonable & sufficient. I have high instep & arch & my foot is comfortable in this shoe for very long periods of time. I can walk all day in these shoes without my feet, knees or hips hurting & for that I am grateful. I would recommend these shoes to friends & family.

Not the same as the Trail Glove 4, but a decent alternative

I purchased these to replace my worn out Trail Glove 4 shoes. The other reviews are accurate in that these are much more narrow than their predecessors, so much so that I almost returned them after trying them on. After a few uses though they loosened up and are more comfortable now. It's probably a combination of stretching them out and just getting used to the tighter fit, but I've grown to like them. While I still consider the Trail Glove 4 to be pretty much the perfect shoe, these are a decent alternative. These seem to be quite durable and look great. I tend to wear shoes until they have holes or fall apart, and I'd expect these will hold up for a few years.

Keep Feet Cool. Nice Indoor Shoes. Fit Wide Feet

I have wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes that don't feel cramped in the toe area, even with wide widths. It's not because my feet are super wide, I just think quality control is poor and also we all have unique feet. My feet also get hot in a lot of shoes, which I find uncomfortable.I wear these inside with socks. I've never used barefoot shoes before, so I was skeptical. While the toebox material does touch the top of my toes, it doesn't bother me because it's flexible and breathable. Arch support is good--feels like normal shoes. They're a bit tight getting on, because the opening is restricted. I bet if I didn't wear socks, they would be perfect. I normally wear 12 Wide, and these fit with socks on. 12 1/2 might be better. If you don't want to wear socks, you should find your normal size to fit well.

Not as good as the 5

Ive been wearing barfoot sneakers for 14 years because i like the way they feel. I ordered these becaause my old Merrells finally fell apart. Theyre not a good as the TG5 and here are a few reasons why. The meterial is 'crunchy' and feels cheap. The sole is a bit stiffer in the midfoot than the TG5 model, that could be the design but its definitely a noticable trait. The tongue is a single flap, so its attached to one side and it just anchored to the other. Not a big deal, just a bit annoying. The upper has decent heft to it, these arent flimsy like the vapor glove model so they will provide some support. These run small: i usually wear a size 11, the 11s i ordered were way to small and not wide enough. Returned them and bought the 11.5, its a much better fit so order a haldf size up. Overall, not a bad sneaker, but definitely not as good as the 4s or 5s. I would recommend waiting until they bottom out at 50 bucks or so; i spent 70 and i feel its a bit 9verpriced for what i consider to be a lower quality Merrell product.

Comfortable for barefoot show lovers

I have been using Marrell Trail Glove shoes for last 6 years. I wear them daily (in city, or nature while I am hiking) and these are the only shoes that I have. These are great choice for anyone looking for comfort, performance, and a minimalist feel. The fit is snug but not restrictive, with just enough room in the toe box to let your toes splay naturally. It is lightweight and breathable.Highly recommended!
