tight to get on
shoes seem a bit stiff, heavy and tight to get on, although may change over time. Other than that would say well made. Water proofing and durability are not at question and likely will weather well over time. Price seems comparable to most brick and mortar stores for same shoe design.

Consistently Great Shoes.
My husband owns a similiar pair of Merrell shoes that had been discontinued so he was thrilled to find this style.He gets leg and back pain so he is particular about his shoes and these are his favorite. They aren't cheap but they hold up well and are extremely comfortable right out of the box. They have good treads so he wears them year round.This is his go-to brand.

First pair of Merrell that I regret buying.
Not a fan of the carbon fiber toe or the insoles. I have bought many pairs of Merrell slip on shoes. I really like them. I bought these to replace my work shows but the carbon fiber toe puts pressure on my big toe. The insoles are really thin and between the two issues there ends out having a raised transition right where my big toe sits next to the carbon fiber toe. I tied replacing the insoles with something thicker and it helped a little but it's still an issue. Normally I'd assume they'd break in but carbon fider doesn't break in... I waited to long to return them so I guess I'm going to suck this up as a loss and a leason learned about the carbon fiber toed shoes.

Really like these shoes. Had them for quite a while now. Broken in and holding up good. Tread holding good. I like that its a rugged outdoor shoe that is not a tall lace-up boot. The slip-on is real easy. I like the carbon fiber toe reinforcement. My work is such that I MIGHT REQUIRE safety shoes on occasion, but no steel toe needed for daily wear. The toe isn't heavy, so I get the protection, with zero consequence for weight. IF it were required at work to go on a jobsite, then I am already wearing them outdoors or in hazardous areas. I got a half size larger (9.5) than my normal shoes (9), and some of those run tight on me anyway. I added some cushy pads in these so its comfortable. Without the pads, it would feel sloppy. I like that the TOE BOX is wider than other casual shoes or dress shoes that squish your little toes in. That really bad for your feet I hear. I have plenty of wiggle room in these, and the carbon-fiber cap is plenty roomy. I may get another pair in black, I like them so well. A couple days ago someone passing by me in a store commented, "Hey nice shoes". That never happens.

Merrill shoes are the best. Our problem was that my husband legs and feet were swollen. When we got that resolved , he tried the shoe on and he said it was to tight. The shoes have not been worn at all. They are still in the box. We were just trying to give his feet time for the swelling to go down. But even after that they are still to tight.
