Great shoes. Held up really nicely to a lot of muddy tromping.
My favorite shoe! I have worn for 20+ years. I wear with shoe inserts for arch support and change these as they wear out. The Merrell shoe is comfortable out of the box, fits snuggly, last about a year. It is NOT slip-resistant on wet floors. They are lightweight in design. I wore this shoe backpacking Europe for 16 days, walking up to 20 miles daily. I have also worn this shoe daily a nurse for years. The best shoe for comfort I've ever found. I love being able to slip on and go! Buy a pair and you and your feet will love them! No sore feet or discomfort.
I always buy boys' Size 5 when I am a woman's 6.5. There may not be alot of color selection, but are usually about half the price and fit my slightly wider feet much better. I also have a bad ankle that slips out of joint at times when not wearing my brace, but these Merrells have such sturdy support, I can trust they stabilize my foot at times when I haven't put the brace on for the day. They are long lasting, do not stretch out of shape , and very supportive. I usually purchase one every 2 years, so I am a regular Jungle Moc customer since they came out.
I got these for a great price and was really looking forward to them, but unfortunately they were way too big. My heels were slipping out even with thicker socks. I have a pair of youth size 5.5 Nova 2 Merrells and could have even gone with a size 6 in that style, so I thought that a size 6 in the mocs would be a good fit. The mocs definitely run larger than Merrell Nova 2 hiking shoes. I would say that the mocs run about a full size larger than the Nova 2 sneakers. I am typically a size 7 in women’s shoes (sometimes 7.5 in athletic shoes) and Youth size 5.5-6 in Merrell Nova 2 if this helps anyone with sizing.
These are wonderful, sturdy, well-made shoes. My daughter (almost 4) needed something heavier than a mesh sneaker, but lighter than a boot for chilly New England fall and (non-snow) winter days. These are perfect. She refused to wear them for the first few weeks, but once they'd been sitting on the shelf long enough that she could pretend it was her idea to put them on, it was fine. She initially didn't like the high arches, as she is super sensitive about anything that touches her feet, and none of her other shoes have that, but once she got used to it, she really liked them. And we were happy she had some reasonably warm -- and waterproof -- footwear for the shoulder seasons. Dad only wear Merrells, so we already knew what a well-made brand they are. Definitely worth the money, and we bought these large enough so they'll hopefully last a couple seasons -- and then little brother gets them!
Good solid shoe, good quality and construction, probably for wider feet.Wanted these to fit, but they hung on her feet like large pretty plums. Looked uncomfortable. All I could envision is a twisted ankle as she tried running in them.
Size 6.5 M is supposed to be equivalent to a women's 8.5 M but when I tried the shoe on my toes were touching the front of the shoe. I had it exchanged for a size 7M and this size fits more like an 8.5M. So the Merrell Mocs do run a little small. Other than that the shoes are perfect. They're comfortable and warm and I plan to buy a second pair. I really like the Merrell Mocs because they're long lasting and don't get holes on the soles like other brands that I've used.
