Great for walking on snow and ice without cleats!
this is a fantastic boot and can be worn on ice and snow with a little worry and believe me I am not good on ice and snow but when I'm wearing these, I feel confidence walking around nearby lakes on both unplowed as well as plowed paths with icey surfaces. I'm giving it 4 stars because the shoe itself is not incredibly warm. You really need to have warm socks.on sizing, I usually take a 9 1/2 and this one runs a little teeny bit large, but the next half size down is definitely too small. I added moleskin pads to the heels to keep it more snug and prevent heel rubbing but other than that, it's super comfortable and I have no qualms about the toe box as someone who really needs a wide toe box, ymmv but I highly recommend it for the security itgives me as an elderly person walking on the snow and ice and it obviates the need for snow cleats here in Minnesota!
