Over the moon
I absolutely LOVE these boots. They're super comfortable, warm, eclectic, and fit perfectly! So far I have just worn them around town to break them in, and they're forming well to my feet. I'm super excited to take them on my next camping trip over Thanksgiving!I read some other reviews where people found they did not fit as expected or had other issues with the fit, which is completely understandable since every one of us has a unique body. For reference, I am typically closer to a shoe size 7.5, and found the 7 fits with enough room to wear socks (but maybe not heavy socks). I'm 5'1", 110lb, womens size 0-2, and the calves leave about 3/4" wiggle room for me. Enough to be really comfy but not look awkward. The ankles are somewhat large on me but I do not find there to be any strange gaping or wrinkling as the boot is well enforced, but flexible, around the ankles.I could go on and on, as I'm over the moon with these, and have a special affinity for legit outdoor clothing that looks fabulous! Highly recommend.

Tight calves, loose ankles, super cute. True to size
Okay, so I've only tried them on so far... they are CUTE, and just as described... and just like all the other reviews state, the calves are TIGHT!!! I don't have wide calves, and it's all I can do to zip these suckers. Going to try to stuff some skinny jeans in them this winter, but may be limited to leggings. And like the reviews state, the ankles are overly roomy. I HOPE they are warm enough this winter, time will tell. I have no doubt about them being waterproof. Very cute and pretty excited

Warm, fits well, but no arch support
I like the look and feel of the boot. So far I've been warm in these boots. (This is based on several short experiences (one hour or less) outdoors at temps between 15 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.) The downside of these boots is that there is no arch support. If you are an extremely flat-footed person, you may need to add arch support inserts or buy some other boot.

Incredibly disappointed with Merrell
So disappointed to have to send these back as I've never had a problem with Merrell boots fitting me in the past. I actually ordered these as a replacement for my Teva's, because after a year the quality of those boots is lacking and they're ready to be replaced. I wanted to switch back to Merrell because the last boots I had from them lasted for over 5 years - and that's with me wearing them every day five months out of the year. These boots I wore once for less than an hour and my feet - even in thick smartwool socks - were rubbed raw. The ankle part of the boot is just as wide as the calf. If you have thick calves, they're not going to work for you. There was so much extra material in the ankle that the thick, waterproofed, stiff leather actually started bunching and depressing into my joint. The boot fit a little too loose and even with thick socks, it moved around enough on my foot as I walked that my feet were rubbed raw after about a mile of walking.In short, these fit like crappy rain boots. No support. No shape. No mas. I returned them, and luckily Amazon is amazing for quick and easy returns.

FINALLY, A CUTE BOOT THAT KEEPS YOU DRY AND WARM!
These boots are awesome! I bought them for a winter trip in eastern Europe. I bought the size 7. I am usually a 6.5-7 and I do have more narrow feet than the average woman who wears a 7 shoe size, but I decided to go with a size 7 in order to wear thicker wool socks with them to keep warm. I am about 5'6" and 130lbs, my calves are avg for my build and so I had plenty of room to layer and wear 2 pairs of fleece leggings or leggings with jeans for extra warmth. They are incredibly cute, can wear both black or brown with them, easy to get in and out of (they are not super stiff like other reviews say) especially when you are in sub temperatures, they are def waterproof as I have splashed around in some very icy cold puddles!

They are very cute and look just as described. The boot shaft was way too narrow for me. I do have slightly large calves but I own a couple other Merrell's boots and they have always fit me very well. Not so with these, I got my normal size 8, which fit in the foot (maybe a little extra space in the toe area but don't mind that as thicker socks would make the fit perfect) but I could only zip them up to about mid calf. I half considered keeping them and wearing them like that because they are just so cute. But alas, made the better choice to return them. I ended up buying the short shaft version of the same boot and they fit great.

Amazing!!!
Five compliments in one week. I wear a 9 in most shoe brands and this was no different. The foot bed is surprisingly comfortable. They are indeed waterproof ,I walked in them for days and they kept my feet toasty warm. I have thin calves and these are the first pair of boots whitch fit me to a T. I may just buy another pair in a different colour. The Bungee Green is very smart looking and easily goes with most colour pallets.
