Nice Shoe runs a little wide
Purchased medium width, it was a gamble since comp toe tends to be bulkier, but I was pleasantly surprised. They do not seem to run small like most Merrell shoes I have tried in the past 15 years, and fortunately they do not run narrow. Yes the toe is big and bulky (like many comp toes) however they allowed enough height that they don't crush toes when you have to crouch down. They are comfortable and have a decent amount of arch support as well. If you are a narrow width I would skip these. But a regular width bordering on wide, or regular and want room for thick socks these are worth trying.

First let me say my daily shoes are the Moab 2 ventilators and I wear a 12 in them as well so the fit was perfect! I also usually wear an insert in my shoes but these feel comfortable enough so far without one...one star deducted because where the composite toe meets the rest of the shoe makes the inside more narrow and I can feel the place they meet while walking...I’m hoping it will stretch out over time...I will update this review after wearing them for a couple months but so far very impressed!!

Finally the perfect hiking shoe
I tried on nine trail hiking shoes previous to this in my size. Not one was comfortable. This Merrell Moab 2 Prime trail shoe was supremely comfortable from the time I put it on. The toe box is wide enough, my heels don't slip, the sole is cushy (could be cushier, but it's not memory foam), and it fills in and supports my high arches. The sole flexes well, and the vibram material will be great for hiking on rocks and uneven ground. I hope it is waterproof as promoted since I will be wearing them trekking in Africa, and it will rain. I read they run small, so ordered a half size up. I had to return that as my size normal 10 was just perfect. Love the brown as so is dirt & mud, and I am glad it does not have a second color as I always feel like I need to match that with my clothes - my own quirk. So happy and glad I kept looking for the right shoe. Now a Merrell fan for life.

Both Shoes Broken Open in Less Than a Year
I love these shoes for fit, comfort, and style, but I bought them in April, and by December both shoes were coming apart in different places, both of which then allowed soil in. I have definitely been wearing them, but I am pretty sure that is not above and beyond the regular duty of shoes. I haven't heard from the vendor yet although I sent a message about it.

Horrible return policy
Merrell shoes are amazing, customer service and return policy of this provider is the complete opposite! I wore I work shoes around the house for the day in a break-in trial when discovering the shoes had a defect affecting comfort. Return shoes a month ago and still waiting for a refund. Their rebuttal is that I wore the shoes and they cannot issue me a refund.
