I sized up for the right fit 👍🥾🥾

After a week of shopping online for a pair of boots 🥾🥾, I went with these. I wear a size 9. Sometimes I can wear a 8.5. It just depends on the shoe. I'm a Hoka walking shoe fan. I like the Koka brand because they are heel to toe walking shoes. I can't wear shoes that cause my toes to shoot to the toe of the shoe as I walk. I read reviews that these have a slight heel on them. Yes, they do have a heel. They did exactly what I hoped for. They walk heel to toe. So walking heel to toe is good for me. Amazon suggested I size up to a 10 based on reviews of these boots running smaller. I did order the 10. I'm glad I did. The boots fit perfectly. I took an old pair of my Hoka inner soles and added them to the inside of the boots just for extra cushion. They fit good. 👍 They're made well. So many brands are running smaller due to being made in so many different countries. It's really hard to know what will fit anymore. If it weren't for the fact of the suggestion to size up I would be spending time doing so many returns. Thankfully I took the advice.👍Update: 5/12/2025I wore these in Alaska and they were so comfortable. I'm so happy I bought them. 👍 I didn't even have to worry about breaking them in. They kept my feet warm and dry. They have good support.

I think these are the best shoes i've ever bought

Comfortable, comfortable, comfortable right out of the box!I normally wear an 8.5 medium width shoe. After reading all the comments, I decided to go with a 9wThey fit perfect. I bought them to wear next year on a road trip out west.Honestly, I thought I would have to break them in, but you don't.

Merrell doesn't disappoint with this comfy slip-on shoe

I like the comfort and walkability I get in this simple merrell low backed slip on. Was a little skeptical as it is nearly a slide (the back is very low) but the fit is right to NOT slip out of the shoe. I've taken it miles as I often use it for my daily walks and the shoe is sturdily made. The style is very casual and typically Merrell style, which some may find a bit TOO casual. It's essentially a clog with a low heel and low back, with mesh top and Merrell sole and footbed. I don't mind the clog look as comfort is there, and it is with this shoe. My workplace has a business casual dress code and I've worn the shoes to the office without getting any coworker or boss side-eye or criticism so I think it's a good option for most business casual offices as well. The toe box is wide enough that it doesn't crush my toes together, which is a big plus for walking longer distances. The mesh is somewhat ventilated and the only drawback to that is that dust tends to settle in the holes if I'm walking in a dusty environment. Turns out the dust can be vaccuumed out of the mesh so it's not an issue. Overall a great shoe, so far I've chalked up many miles without discernable wear to the soles and it's holding together well as expected.

Good ventilated hiking boots

I am an avid hiker that overheats easily and also needs to wear mid hiking boots because my ankles roll easily which has caused one of them to break and had a serious ATFL tear. I feel safe in mid hiking boots and they protect my ankles. It's hard though to find mid hiking boots that are not waterproof or what they call ventilated. Waterproof is great if you hike in the winter or where there will be water crossings. However, if you hike in hot climates you probably want a ventialted pair. I am grateful for these mid boots by a quality company that I know makes good boots. They provide air circulation, ankle protection and are comfortable right out of the box. They have padding around the ankles and do not rub. I love the color combination which was an added bonus. I have high ankles and need a bigger toe box and these boots have a larger toe box and open wide enough to get my foot in them which can be a problem with some boots. Oh, btw, I have about 8 pair of hiking boots so I have a lot to compare to. I highly recommend these to those of you that hike in any climate that gets hot. These boots also have good grip which is important on all types of terrain.

Perfect size

These boots were perfect. I have a narrow foot and I like plenty of room in the toe box. They did not disappoint! The color goes with everything and they are very comfortable.

Good grip and response

Great boots!! Bought these for hiking and grand Teton and I’ve been using over a year now. Very responsive and good ankle support. Good grip even on wet and hard rated trails.

No break in necessary

I wear boots twelve hours a day for work as a park ranger and that includes plenty of hiking and patrolling parking lots. I couldn't ask for much of a better boot for the price. They hold the heel snug but have a very ample toe box for thick socks. Very good arch support but could be a little better cushioned in the ball of the foot area. The shoe laces needed some creative tying as they are very long, so if you need to tie them a certain way there's a lot to work with. They didn't need any break in at all. They feel the same after three weeks of shifts with several four mile hikes. The price seems to move around a lot so watch for it when it gets cheapest. I paid about $75 when I bought them in December 22.
