Awesome trail hiking shoes! Didn’t need to break them in at all - first hike in them was 5 miles. Soooo comfortable, 0 complaints!Even walked up a steep wet leaf covered, muddy hill and the grip on the shoes were amazing!I’m usually a size 8.5 - ordered 8.5, and they fit great. More room in the toes than I’m used to but is nice that there’s room for thick socks if it’s cold out.10/10 hiking shoes, get them!!
Shoes fit great! Very comfortable and are true to size. Good traction and great for some rugged hikes but be cautious with rocky hikes as these do not provide ankle support.
Wanted to switch to a lighter-weight low hiker and bought these just before a week-long trip to Zion NP and the Grand Canyon. Super happy with them in every way. Comfortable straight out of the box with zero break-in time. True to size. Very lightweight and feel like a running shoe, but a bit more supportive thanks to the solid base. These hike fast, and as someone prone to shin splints when hiking hills, I found these were really supportive of good biomechanics and promoted proper use of glutes and quads rather than straining calves, shins, and feet.Nice blend of modern and traditional styling. I was put off by the wacky colors that seem to be trendy for hiking footwear at the moment, because I am a matchy-matchy person, and the Monument color was great for me. Cool shade of gray with dusty blue and muted teal accents, so work well with combinations of black, blues, turquoise/teal, and even some burgundy thrown in there, but go reasonably well with anything really without looking like a drab park ranger (sorry, park rangers).
I really like these treking shoes, they right to size and looks really good. I am flat feet and they has a very moderate arch, just what I needed to avoid plantar Fascitis. They are confortable but not flexible. Very well constructed pair of shoes.
These are the BEST pair of shoes I've ever bought from Amazon. I feel them grab the ground. The soles are sturdy and stable but flexible enough. The heel area feels wide and stable, so I don't feel like I'm going to turn my ankle. I'm very impressed. I'm an 8.5 wide and took the chance with the 8.5 regular and they're perfect because they run wide. Gonna get another pair

After wearing these shoes for about 2 months, the heel in the right shoe caved in making it unwearable. I have never owned a pair of Merrell’s, and after this experience, I never will again. There is no way to fix the issue, not even a new insole would make a difference. It’s the integrity of the entire heel of the shoe. I wore it like that until I started to affect my foot and cause me pain. I hope and expect Amazon will do something to make this situation right. I would expect you to stand behind the products you sell and to do so indefinitely, especially a pair of shoes that when not on sale cost $130.00. I’ll look forward to hearing a solution from you folks there at Amazon. Thank you. To everyone else,I would NOT recommend these shoes.
