Recovering from a hip replacement so I didn't want to rush y skipping it calling in the winter weather (ice, snow) when we went on a winter vacation. These are so comfortable I now wear them back in California for any of my hikes. I have been complimented in their look. And they are absolutely the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. Excellent quality and value. I feel safe wearing them in snowy conditions and they are water proof and warm
Really nice boots. Warm and keep my feet from getting wet. Comfortable and looks great, I have had many compliments on how nice they look. So, all around good boot, very happy with my purchase.
I wear a Womens size 9 medium shoe and ordered Womens size 9 boot. These fit snuggly and are very comfortable. I replaced the insoles with the Superfeet insoles I use in my shoes.
These boots are incredible. I took them to a hunting trip to Colorado and they are amazing. 100% waterproof, keep your feet warm, extremely comfortable, provide amazing ankle support. We hiked over 40 miles of steep terrain on ice, snow, mud and rocks. The tread of these boots are outstanding as I didn’t slip nor fall. I didn’t break them in, just wore out of the box and no blisters or hurting feet. True to size in my opinion. The only reason why I took 1 star out, is because the top hook for the laces of 1 of the shoes fell off during my excursion, which I can probably take to get it fixed.
I received these on time and as soon as they came , I couldn't open the box fast enough, I put my feet into them and off I went outside in the snow! I've been wearing them everyday, love the support they give my ankles and the boot is excellently made. It's snug around my foot bed, but I still have wiggle room for my toes. I find they are great in the snow and icy conditions you still have good traction under foot, also walking on sidewalks or rough terrain there is good footing. Love the extra long laces. The boots have a flannel lining which keeps my feet warm, sometimes if I'm in a hurry, I'll just slip my barefeet into the boots, my feet stay dry and warm. There's a small metal ring at the toe area, so I'm thinking I can use the boot on my cross country skis, a plus for sure. I love the thickness of the shoe, it's well made and will last a long time. I have another pair of Merrell shoes which are probably 10 years old, I still wear them as well, but I wanted a higher boot which Merrell Women's Thermo Chill Mid WP offers. I would definitely recommend this boot. I wear a 10 in womens and I have a very wide foot, it fits me just right. I usually purchase mens shoes/boots because they offer a wider size, but I took a chance on these and I'm so glad I did!!
I'm my mind, a pretty winter boot means nothing if your toes are going numb. I discovered years ago that winter hiking boots are the way to go. These are fabulous. Keep my feet dry (so long as the snow is below ankle height) and warm but not overly hot.These seen very sturdy, meant to last, with good traction underneath. Fashion wise, I think they look decent too, a nice neutral color. They are a bit heavy, but not it if the ordinary for a hiking boot.Some things are with the investment, and these boots are one of them. Don't just save them for the trail.
OMG flannel comfort inside and no slip for people with hip replacements,a secure feeling on ice without cleats! Think these are going to be wonderful come winter! Size up 1/2 size
