Wonderful Merrell Boots

I love these boots. Bought them for a trip to Alaska in May, and used them mostly for light hiking. Since we got home from Alaska, I've been happily wearing them almost daily to walk the dog around our subdivision. They're very comfortable, and my feet have never gotten blisters or made me unhappy. Now that it's gotten cold (only low 40's so far) I think they're pretty well insulated - no cold feet at all. They are awesome and I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend

I love this style. It fits well, comfortable and durable. I have bought several pair and literally wore them out with hiking and adventures. They are also comfy to wear around town. They do not wear out easily and can handle a lot of rugged terrain comfortably. The ankle jig provides nice support without feeling restrictive or stiff.

Merrills are my favorite foot gear...

Nice looking boots give my feet and ankles the support they need for my daily 1.25 mile trek around our little lake. I've been buying/wearing Merrills for over 20 years. Still have a couple pair that I still wear. I rotate through 5 different pairs/styles during the week. They are good on dirt paths and paved surfaces. Durable. Comfortable. Attractive. I recommend these shoes.

Quality and fit to size

My go to shoes for over 10 years. Waterproof, ankle support and work well for those long days out.

Great hiking shoe

These are true to fit and hardly had to break in. I did a couple of easier hikes before really putting them to work, but I’m not sure I would have had to do that even. Also seem quality although I’ve only had them a short time.

Good study boots with some minor problems

They’re quite comfy and sturdy with good arch support. However, I’m thinking of replacing them with a truly waterproof version. The suede material tends to trap moisture and dirt, and it’s not the easiest to clean. Also, make sure to double knot the laces — they tend to come undone easily during hikes.

They run small.

I was excited to try these but they run small! I usually wear a 9 or 9 1/2, so I ordered at 10. The boots seem way small and all of my toes rub. I would say these are very narrow and also short for a size 10. Had to return them.
