Fit well and great for hiking.
Great shoes. These made it through the summer well. Probably hiked over 100 miles this summer in multiple states, mountains and desert. I highly reccomend.

Great shoes. These made it through the summer well. Probably hiked over 100 miles this summer in multiple states, mountains and desert. I highly reccomend.
For several years of our long and happy marriage I disparaged my wife over the great number of shoes she had in the closet. Well that's stopped because I now have six different pairs of Merrill shoes. Although they are all great this last pair is by far my favorite.I never understood how two pairs of shoes, that look so much alike, could be so different. That would be why I was buying my work shoes at Walmart, and then wondering why they wore out so fast and were so uncomfortable over a long period of time. Then I started working with the client who did permitting for power lines. Their employees walk sometimes all day doing work on power lines. I noticed at a meeting one day that every single one of them had on a pair of Merrill shoes, so I asked them about it. Every person said they had become a fan of Merrill's when they realized you could walk in them all day and when you got home at night your feet didn't hurt. I have come home and had my wife say "Would you like to take your shoes off and get into something more comfortable?" I tell her I'm just fine let's go somewhere to dinner.Right now I have these shoes on and I have been standing at my standup desk working, off and on, for over six hours. I move around because standing still makes my hips hurt, however, my feet are fine. They don't go to sleep, they don't hurt, and I feel as if I could just walk outside and start hiking home.By now you can see that I am an unabashed fan of the shoes and I have worn out more than my share of them. They clean up well in the washing machine (they make horrible noise in the washing machine), and for this type of shoe their reasonably priced. It is important when you buy Merrill shoes that you be specific about what you plan to use them for. I have a pair that I use when I go to the gym that I would not take on long extended hikes. The ones I am reviewing are buy general purpose shoes because they work well on jobsites, they work well in my office, and they're just comfortable to run around in. I don't wear them to the gym however, mainly because they are a little stiff for some of the things you might do in an exercise situation. And in the end that's why I own so many of them now.Good luck and enjoy these.
These are sturdy and comfortable hiking shoes. I were them everyday. I usually wear a 10w but the 10m in these were perfect. They have a really wide toe box and the arch support is great. Highly recommend.
Because of the color they look really cool, but for my feet they are definitely too tight near the toes. The quality appears good and even though I have owned them almost a year I have only worn them maybe 30-times? The arch is quite firm, so the 'support' aspect is questionable if you have a low arch. The traction seems alright for what is offered and I still have yet to field-test the waterproof aspect as well as the slipperiness, fully.
On my third pair of these. Literally wore out the first two. Hands down the best shoe Merrell makes. Super comfortable, great looking, easy on and off. Highly recommend these. You won’t be disappointed.
I love these Merrell Yokota2 hiking shoes way better than the Merrell Moab 2. I do have the Moabs, and they feel bulky on my feet due to their thick, heavy, and hard souls; think, clogs. The Yokotas are athletic, soft, and comfortable. If you enjoy a fast pace hike, these lightweights are the shoes to get over the Moabs. The Moabs may have their purpose, like when walking through a field of rocks while you're busy checking your phone and not paying attention to what you may kick. But if you're a brisk hiker and watch your step, say yes to the Yokotas.I actually use these Yokotas when I mountain bike. Their thinner souls, although still durable against the clipless pedal's metal spikes, allows me to feel the pedals for better control. The narrowish width avoids being rubbed on my cranks as I pedal. These type of shoes should be the mainstream clipless mountain biking shoe, and not those goofy looking skater-like boats (i.e. Five Tens).
Great shoes - Provides a ton of heal support with an ample grip for hiking. Extremely light weight too.
