First time trying these and I love them. So comfortable and warm with or without socks.
I have been using a name brand expensive moccasin slipper for quite a few years that starts out pretty tight and over time gets almost too loose. I have been happy with these slippers that could be used for outdoors but are more suited as slippers.I recently discovered the Merrill moccasins, and had to try them. These moccasins can be used as slippers and still look stylish for use as shoes. They are very comfortable even when new, and don't require a break in period. So what do I love about these shoes?1) They are so comfy from day-1. No break in period.2) The quality of the the materials they are made from are the best. Since the upper part of this moccasin is pigskin suede. Although the inner lining is Faux sherling, you can't tell that it is not true sherling.3) The sole of these moccasins is nonslip and is great even on ceramic floors. I have not yet tried them outdoors in icy weather, but other reviewers have.4) These moccasins are so comfy as slippers or for daily use, but are also stylish enough to wear as shoes outdoors.5) Considering the look of these moccasins, they are relatively light weight.6) They are true to size. I initially ordered my normal size 7 that was comfortable but a bit loose if they stretched. I ordered a 6 1/2 and it was definitely too small. I recommend ordering your normal size for the best fit.So far, I love the Merrill Encore Moccasins, and would definitely recommend them. I will likely be buying more of them in different colors.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Couldn't get through winter without them
This is my second pair of Merrell Leather Moccasins. I admit, I was nervous buying via the Internet. My previous pair fit perfectly. This one was a hair wider than the original pair, but I had an insert from other shoes that I put UNDER the lining, and they fit perfectly. Keep my feet warm and soo comfortable. I only wear them IN the house.

Not as good as they used to be
This is my 3rd pair - loved my first two. This pair doesn't fit as well. They've changed them - the heel area is much wider. Actually, one shoe is wider than the other in the heel area. The lining isn't as plush as my old ones. They're still comfortable for sitting around, but my heels slip when walking. Neither of my previous pairs did this. Also, if you're debating between two sizes, I would go for the smaller. I guess I'll keep them because I got a good price, but not excited.
