Great Hiking shoes
Great hiking shoes. Wore them everyday for two weeks and did their job well. No problems with comfort and actually were waterproof. I was greatly surprised. Well made.

Great hiking shoes. Wore them everyday for two weeks and did their job well. No problems with comfort and actually were waterproof. I was greatly surprised. Well made.
I love these shoes. I've had them for several months now and the fit is perfect and true to size. They are comfortable on long hikes. The support is good in them and they have good traction when walking rocky areas. I like them better than the Accentor style. These have a better fit.
I have been hiking on and off now for years and I have struggled with foot pain. My previous shoes (New Balance) were used for level terrain but would start giving me pain around the one mile mark. Since I like to hike for about 5-10 miles each time, I would be in a world of pain by hike's end.Since I wanted to remain hiking, I did a ton of online research and time and time again I would come across recommendations for the Moab 3 hiking shoe. Eventually I gave in and decided to give them a try. After my first 6 mile walk, I had NO pain. None. I was even walking at the front of the group leaving the other members in the dust. All this with no break-in time, meaning no blisters. Note: The New Balance shoes gave me wicked blisters even after taping my heels. The feel of the shoe is rigid and tight, but not painful. I would recommend you sizing up a half size for ultimate comfort. The 9 size fit my 8.5 foot perfectly. You also gain about an inch in height, which was nice. Also, the grip on the sole was excellent. I was walking down stone stairs with ease and no fear of slippage. Conclusion: I'm very impressed with this shoe. From hiking the outdoors to walking miles and miles on the Las Vegas Strip, these held up like no other hiking boot/shoe I've worn before. I highly recommend.
I've had these shoes for almost a year now and came back to right a review...that should tell you something! They've been great. Over the past year, I've put a lot of miles on them camping and around town. (They are a hiking shoe with a fairly rugged appearance; so my wife usually grimaces when I wear them around town.)The first week I had them was spent at Boy Scout camp in OK. They were good in the peak of summer heat & humidity. But they've really been at their best in wet weather. The waterproofing has kept my feet dry in rain, mud, and standing water. They have begun to show minor signs of normal wear and tear, but I'm not gentle on my shoes and could really stand to take better care of them. Overall, they're comfortable, fit true to size, and perform perfectly in all conditions. I highly recommend them.
I like the shoe. Comfortable, good Vibram tread, thick padding in the tongue. BUT - it is sized smaller than most shoes. I usually wear a 9, but I had to return it and get a 9.5 for the right fit.
My 5th pair of Merrill Moab shoes in various colors and waterproof and ventilated versions. They hold up well to the miles on the trail and around my property. Soles are good for reasonably long wear. Bottom line they hold up well, and fit my feet well, so I keep buying what works and provides good value (when I can get them at a good value price). I like the tread pattern and traction, however the Arch support is middling, and I need more, so I generally add aftermarket insoles to the shoes and move the Merrill insoles over to my field boots or such.
I wore them all throughout Greece on excursions where the walk ways were uneven and slippery. Comfortable and sturdy
