Comfortable!

I purchased these before a trip to the Mighty Five in Utah and am so glad I did! They fit true to size so I ordered a half size larger to accommodate heavy hiking socks. I wore them around the office for a week to break them before big hikes. They held up marvelously and provided much needed traction and support. I walked through plenty of water without issue so their waterproofing definitely works. The insoles have plenty of support so I didn’t have to worry about purchasing a set of insoles. Overall, I am extremely pleased and would recommend to others.

really nice, great price

I am an avid, albeit aging, hiker. I used to have (3) pairs of hiking boots going at all times. first pair, new pair breaking in. Second pair, best pair, for hiking and backpacking. Third pair, older pair, still sound but better for working. I used to buy Big5 special HiTec boots. These are way better, more comfortable and have the Vibram yellow-tag soles. Way back, the Big5 HiTec's had that, but they changed to Michlin (which I like very much too, especially on Utah slickrock) and more man-made components.I am not confident that the Amazon deal will last ($76 for the blue-granite color), so I've bought a second pair to have a First and Second pair in play. welcome to the inside of my head.

Best boots ever

Best boots money can buy. My gf and I wear the same boots! Stop looking elsewhere and get these.Comfortable in long hikes too! We did a 14 mile hike at Big Bend in these and our feet were in great shape afterwards. Obviously not our legs, but that's because are you ever actually in shape?

Comfort, Durable

Got a great price on these. Lots of padding. Having had plantar fasciitis and Achilles issues, shoe support demands are high. These Merrells are about as good as you can get. For hiking style shoes. Taking up to Arcadia, Bar Harbor, ME. After that trip, maybe I’ll update to 5star!
