Very Comfortable and Lightweight

These are best hiking boots ever. The only problem is that Merrell is not consistent with sizing. The first pair I ordered was a 10, and then second pair I returned and got a 10.5. Both fit me perfect? I wish they made a shoe in this same style, instead of styles with leather and mesh. I hate mesh. Shoes are so hard to find, when I find something this comfortable (wide feet), I buy 2 pairs. Would also buy in black if they offered them in this style.

I Really Like These Boots

I bought these to replace a pair that I had gotten in a store that I had lost one shoe to. Very comfortable, waterproof, great for walking or hiking for every day use. Sleek design is not too clunky. I really like these boots.

Nice

Nice boot. They are quite narrow in the toes. I have a narrow foot, so they fit perfect. I wear the merrell moab 2 waterproof shoes in a 10.5. These boots I wear an 11. The fit is different on both boots. Love the all leather.

Great looking shoe but sizing is off

I am normally / always a size 6 but based on one reviewer, it was advised to go 1 to 1.5 size up. I ordered a size 7 and glad I did. With my smartwool socks (not thick) they fit just right. Any thicker socks I definitely feel a size 7.5 would fit better. The shoes themselves are sturdy, pretty and comfortable. They do not feel bulky. Other than the hard tongue of the shoe pressing against my front legs (probably need to break in) and the sizing being completely off, the Merrells are still a keeper. I cannot say much about durability and it's waterproof capabilities. Perhaps another time.

comfortable and stayed dry

Walked all over the Netherlands on wet/icy cobblestones. Didn't need to break them in. Feet stayed dry.

Way too small!!

I love Merrell shoes/boots and have had many pairs over the years. I really liked the look of these and was excited to get them. My last in a similar style fit well, but I wanted to go a half size up in order to wear thinker socks. I usually wear a 9, so bought a 9.5 and could barely get the boot on, even with super thin socks. After reading some similar reviews with poor outcomes going with bigger sizes, I think I’ll pass on sizing up and just go with something different.

Excellent hiking boot but took 3 tries before I got the right size.

These are my 3rd pair of Merrell boots over the years. I bought a higher boot in 2015 for a hiking trip in the mid-west and picked a size 10 (I'm a 9.5) for thicker socks. Those are looking rather worn so replaced them with this boot. I ordered the 10, way too small. They had 10.5 so figured that would be an improvement but still too small. Found an 11 and they are perfect. But if I place the soles of the older size 10 to the newer size 11, they are the same size. I'd recommend sizing up.So far, I love the boot. It's comfortable, roomy and seems pretty sturdy on rocky trails.
