This is a great shoe. Runs large. Definitely go one whole size smaller. I usually like more room in the toes. 8 was way large and 7.5 is a bit short in toes for my preference. big difference between sizes; however, they are not uncomfortable even after lots of walking.Fits well and no pain. No blisters. Very sturdy shoe. The waterproofing seems good.Very happy overall.
My new favorite hiking shoe! Amazing arch support. Great fit. Very comfortable- even without breaking-in. Highly recommend!! I haven’t tested the waterproofing yet, but am hopeful.
Great fit and rugged
I REALLY LIKE THESE HIKING SHOES! THEY ARE ATTRACTIVE AND VERY COMFORTABLE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! MY 2 MINOR DISLIKES ARE: 1. THE LACES ARE A LITTLE TOO SHORT AND I WOULD PREFER THERE WAS NOT ANY LIGHT GRAY ON THE SHOE!
I want to start saying that I will be returning these shoes only because it has too much arch support. If you have high arches this is the shoe for you. Otherwise, I did buy the shoe a half size smaller based on other reviews and it fit nicely. I just can’t get over how much arch support it has. It’s just uncomfortable to me and I do have arches. I liked the color and thought that it looked great and was a good price.
I’m 68, 5’9 and 170 lbs and wear size 10 on the narrow side. I purchased these for my recent trip to Scotland. I love the fit and support I’ve experienced it’s other Merrell styles and needed the rugged traction and waterproof material these offered. They did not disappoint! Wore them on the travel day because of the airport walking and to be prepared for the rainy forecasts in Edinburgh. I love that I walked over 5 miles a day over cobblestone streets and endless stairs and slopes…through mist and rain and sunshine….my feet never hurt and the shoes look as good as they did the day I purchased them. Great fit and look stylish.
I have always worn Nike for as long as I can remember. When I buy sneakers I always buy two pairs...a mainly white pair and a mainly black pair. I have shopped for months and could not find a black pair I liked so opted to get these. I LOVE them! The arch support is unmatched. The shoes are spacious and I don't feel like my toes are crowded. I just bought them so I'm hoping they are as durable as they are cute. These sneakers might turn me from a Nike girl to a Merrell girl.
