Fits like a glove! Merrell Trail Glove 7

I love these shoes from the moment I put them on! They are comfortable; however, they are on the narrow side. If you have wide feet, they most likely won't be comfortable. Even though I think they are narrow, they are built with a wider toe box they work exactly how they should, they wear as a minimalist shoe my feet feel as if they are not constricted. They have a slight support in the arch the soles are Vibram, they are well constructed so far. I wear them in a full-time retail job, on my feet all day and I really like them. I did walk in them 5 miles mostly flat hike and my leg muscles did get sorer the way these shoes work, like walking barefoot, different muscles are being used. My feet definitely feel freer! One foot has more pain because of a forming bunion, these have been the most comfortable shoe for me. Also, I really like all Merrell hikers, they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and these Trail Glove 7's are GREAT!!

They fit a narrow foot, okay for light hiking & walking, lightweight & good looking

These are very light weight & comfortable, but I do have a narrow foot & high arch, so they would be too tight for a wide foot. It doesn't have a lot of padding, but they are fine for what I want.

Not as roomy as my other Merrill "Barefoot" shoes

My foot could be a model for size 10 Women Merrill shoes, so I cannot truthfully say that this shoe does not fit correctly. It does. But it is made to fit more snuggly around the toes than other Merrill Barefoot shoes I have owned. The wide toe bed is great for Zumba and pilates. These shoes do NOT have a wide toe bed. These are comfortable shoes as all my Merrills are, just not what I was expecting. As an after thought wish I had sent them back.

Quality is crap

Merrell quality has gone down. After less that 6 months of owning these, the rubber sole was worn through to the thin foam beneath the heel. By 8 months, the hole is all the way through the bottom of the shoe.Of course I’m past my 30 day return window, and Merrill online support doesn’t accept Amazon exchanges.

Barefoot support for the Trail

They are a little narrow, so as someone with a wide foot I went a size up and that did make the arch support feel a little weird.I do like the amount of support around the ankle while allowing the toe to feel free and flexible. They are certainly not completely barefoot, if you're wanting that flatfoot zero feel go for the vapor glove. There is an arch in these but they soften out after a bit of walking.I do like these for hiking and more Backcountry outdoor trail stuff because it has more traction and more support. The vapor glove is very thin and you can feel every rock and pebble but this (trail glove) provides just enough that you're protected from the sharp and pokies. So if you're wanting complete barefoot do the vapor glove.

narrow toe box

Almost perfect: I like the way the design of the shoe keeps your arch held in. Fits my foot really well. I returned them because the toe box is really narrow. I have a skinny (maybe narrow-ish) foot and this was way too tight for me. For a barefoot style shoe, I find that surprising. I also have a neuroma on the left foot (nerve compression in the ball of the foot) and that foot needs space to relax. Bummer, but the narrowness made them super uncomfortable.
