I have been eyeing these for a while. I'm a little mad at myself for not getting them sooner. My feet are a bit wide but the tie box is so comfortable, it doesn't squeeze my toes at all. I'm usually a 5.5 but ordered the 6 because of all the reviews and they fit perfectly. The Luggage color is Rich and beautiful. It really goes well with anything. Love these so much I want to purchase more colors.
These shoes definitely run smaller, but the different results in the reviews are probably due to everyone's feet being different. Here's you can try to get the right size: get a ruler, stand on it (standing, not sitting) and then compare the size of your foot in inches to the provided sizing chart. I wear a US 8.5 in most shoes and I wear a 39 in most Euro shoes. My feet are wide and I sometimes size up to a 9 when I need more room in a shoe style. My right foot, when measured is 10in. and my left foot is slightly larger. The sizing chart says the 9/39 size is for feet that are 10" and the 10/40 size is for feet that are 10.125". I ordered a 40 in this MIA shoe fits me comfortably. They are definitely more rough hewn / unpolished so the wood has a lot of variations in color.
Toe box seems small for a size 10. I went up a half size and it is still quite tight. I am a size 9.5, normal width and this is the first time this has happened with any shoe. I am going to bring them to the cobbler to have them stretched and hopefully they'll be ok.Pretty and the sole has a good grip and the heel height is comfortable to walk in. Just wish they weren't so SMALL!
The top is a little more solid than I thought it would be and I was scared putting them on it would be scratchy or tight on the top of my foot. But they fit very comfortably and don't bother my feet at all. I am admittedly a little wobbly in them, but that's because I am not used to wearing heels at all and usually wear flats or wedges. The color is spot on and even wearing them for the first time all day they remained extremely comfortable even when I was going up and down many flights of stairs. Definitely worth the cost to get something exceedingly well made.
I was very excited to receive, out of the box they seems great quality, sturdy and a beautiful color. However, they are painful to wear! I've had them for a few months now, understanding it takes time to "break-in" new shoes. I'm not sure if it was the arch of the shoe, but they were uncomfortable from day one. I continued to wear them occasionally, hoping it was just me.Today was the last straw. Apologies in advance for the gross photo but I was on my feet for 3 hours today running errands, and as you can see, it scraped my heal in multiple places. Let me clarify, these are my usual size, they is still some play/space between shoe and my skin, and somehow the material cut my skin.
First of all, box arrived smashed because it wasn’t shipped in an outer box. For a product of this price, I would expect the shipping packaging to be better, especially considering that the item is real leather and could potentially be scratched or damaged in a box that’s smashed like that. Second, the price for what you get on the issues is absolutely terrible. These are so poorly put together. There is absolutely no padding or cushioning in the insoles. In fact, there is no insole at all. It’s just straight wood. I only added an additional star for the fact that the style is really cute. The toebox of the shoe is really short, so even with trimmed toenails, you will be in pain wearing these. Also, the way they were made for some reason makes your ankle collapse outward taking even a few steps in them. It’s almost like there’s a slant in the heel making them unstable. Returning
So cute! I'm a true size 6 but sometimes order 6.5 in boots/narrow shoes. Ordered the 6 and they fit absolutely perfectly. A little clunky at first if you're not used to wooden platforms but easy to walk in. Seem really comfortable though I haven't worn them out yet! I ordered the "Luggage" color and it's true to the picture - a pretty light brown with a hint of orange.Only thing I have negative to say is the rubber sole section looked like someone may have worn them out before, but could be just how the sole was cut, maybe. The rubber was frayed & pilling all around the edges. The leather and wood portion looked in new condition, however, so it wasn't a big issue for me.
