Small means small
These are definitely small, as per the description but they work well for my tiny dancer's feet. She reports that they have a nice balance between grip and "spin" and help protect her calluses/blisters nicely.

Very cheaply made, seam was ripped when arrived and then continued to break when trying to put on.
These are my favorite Contemporary shoes. You can make the toe holes bigger if you want but I haven’t needed to. They are more comfortable than the ones with a thong which tend to really cut between the big and second toe. These spread out the pressure and work well. They have lasted all of my dancers well, too, and you can’t beat the price.
I found the mesh on these very stiff, with no inherent stretch. The holes for the toes are very small, particularly the big toe, so I had to essentially rip them to the proper size (being careful not to use too much force and over stretching it) and even then because they do not stretch, the fabric digs into the skin around the joint. The pad for the foot did seem to be the appropriate size, but the surface, despite the sueded texture, was very slick on hardwood, and not much better on marley. The stitching all seemed fine, and the design would otherwise work I think, but the choice of materials renders these almost unusable for me.
