Mbm9066 engineer boots
Order 1/2 size down maybe?I kept coming back to these when looking for engineer boots. I finally went ahead and bought them, was really hoping the price would go down, that's why I initially hesitated. I really wanted a pair with a zipper for ease of use and these fit the bill. They're pretty decent, obviously not the best you can buy but probably the best with a zipper for under $200. I wear these as everyday footwear and they're great on the motorcycle. Not rated for motorcycle use, if that's important to you. The heels are fairly low but hook securely on the foot pegs of my bike and aren't too heavy to shift or brake. They slip quite a lot once I broke them in. They also rubbed my big toe prior to braking in, which didn't take long. Now they're pretty comfortable. Except for the excessive slipping. I think had I gone down a half size I would've been fine. Will add thin insoles eventually but the slippage is only a problem when I'm doing a lot of walking. They are welted, to a plastic bit, the tan you see in the pictures, so I suspect once they're worn out, you throw them away. That said, you should get your monies worth unless you use them for work, in which case I don't think they will hold up real well. They might though. The strap over the instep Does work, even though the short side of the strap is attached to an elastic band. It's sufficient to snug them up. I over tightened them and they were sufficient to be uncomfortably tight. The leather is good. It's not great but it's thick enough and playable enough after some break in. I also treated them with otter wax, for water resistance. At first, they looked a little plasticy but after wear they look very good. The zipper is robust and glides easily. There is a bit of extra leather to keep the zipper from rubbing your calf. They aren't lined. They're easy to get on or off quickly. Look good and are comfortable. I am completely satisfied with the purchase. If I were to order again, I would try a half size down.I typically wear 10.5 EE in round toe cowboy boots. I ordered a 10.5. They are wide enough without going to a wide size. Plenty of room.
