Comfortable and sized correctly. Second pair!
I ordered 2 pair. They arrived quickly. I wear them all the time and they are comfortable and good quality. I did realize, after I received, that even though they are genuine Minnetonka Moccasins, they are now made in China and don't have the real sheepskin inner lining, but a synthetic fur that is comfortable, but not sheepskin like the originals. Of course the price was very reasonable.
A trusted brand my husband and I have used for many years! He usually asks for slippers for Christmas and I can never go wrong with the Minnetonka brand!Sized true, hard soles makes it where they can be worn to run outside for a minute, very functional. I got him the brown color ones this time as they don't get dirty so fast. He loves them!
I like the style of this slipper and the fact that it has a sole bottom, but I don't think the price tag matches the quality. For $40 I was expecting something more.I've had them a week now and wear them pretty regularly in the AM and PM. I've worn them to step out onto the patio and to make a quick drive and already some of the sole is starting to peel off. The sole is also thin width wise, when I first put them on I felt a bit unstable and could feel where the sole's edges were pushing into the bottom of my foot.I'd agree with most of the other reviews, they are larger than expected. I typically wear a size 9, with the occasional 9.5 in boots. I ordered a size 8 and they were snug, my toe touched the end, but still slipped off my heel. It only took 1 day for them to stretch out and now when I push my foot to where my toe touches the end there is a 1/2 inch gap at my heel. I could have MAYBE even gotten away with ordering a size 7 and worn them for a couple days until they stretched out.The stitching has held up so far, as has the leather. I used water repellent spray to keep them from getting water spots. The faux fur lining has already flattened out, but it still feels soft on the feet, I tend to wear socks with them, it helps keep them from slipping.Overall these are decent, but feel they should be more in the $25-$35 range.
I love these slippers. I will only be buying this brand from now on. They are super comfortable, and they mold to your feet after continued wear. The color and material are super high quality.
I have been wearing Minnetonka slippers for years, all kinds of styles, but these ones are a major disappointment. For starters, my normal size in Minnetonka's is a 10 but these were way too big. I sent them back to the seller and bought a pair in size 9. These were too small, and despite that my heel still popped out of the back. Something is not right here. These just don't feel like Minnetonka slippers at all. That's when I discovered that they are, in fact, "Made in China." And how. They are rigid stiff, cut too low, and the fabric inside is not soft. No offense to anyone else reviewing here who likes these, but if you knew how good this brand is supposed to be then I suspect you would feel otherwise. But regardless of all this- it is extremely irresponsible for Minnetonka to have these made in China. No manufacturer should produce their wares there just to save a buck, but especially ones that have a "MADE IN THE USA" illusion like Minnetonka does (look at their website and read about their "American Tradition" that goes back to the 1940's).Shame on you Minnetonka. Bring your manufacture back to the nations with labor laws. It is not OK to exploit the work force in other countries just for profit gains. For this reason, please do not buy these slippers.
*8 month update* Dropping from my original 5 stars to 3. I still wear these daily, they are just as comfy, and they've held up well. But there is one infuriating issue... the shoelaces. They constantly come undone, I mean I have to retie them several times a day. (I guess the upside is the extra stretching exercise they force me to endure!) I've stepped on them numerous times, have nearly tripped coming down the stairs, and finally have broken them, so now they are too short and even more annoying to retie.*Original Review*I normally wear a size 9, so that is what I ordered. My first impressions were that these look great but when I first tried them on I found them tight in the front, and a bit loose in the heel. But after a few days they seemed to have better conformed to my feet. My only other, initial, concern was that the rubber sole felt a bit too narrow, it was like I was walking "on top" of them and not "in" them, so I felt a little unbalanced at first. I do think they should make the sole a bit wider, they are narrower than the shoe, but after wearing them around the house either they broke in or I just got used to them. They slip on and off easily, without feeling like they are falling off. They are warm enough for the cooler weather, but not too hot. They are very light and comfy, sometimes I forget I'm wearing them and more than once have left the house, forgetting I was wearing "slippers" but these really are nice looking enough to use "out" as a casual shoe and really look great with jeans. Heck I may order a soft sole version for house slippers and wear these out more often!
