So Hard to Find - Exactly What I Was Looking For ......
These are so hard to find - genuine Black Leather Lace Up Jazz Shoes Dance Boots by "MissFiona". Yes!!!!I use these not because I am a dancer, but rather, I am a professional solo vocalist /guitarist who plays both acoustic or electronic drums with her feet as part of the solo performance presentation. What I have on my feet completely dominates the sound-result of my foot drums. Ideally playing barefoot or in socks works best - but does not look very professional on stage.I have tried nearly every brand of ballet flat - to which only a few qualify as being light enough and flexible enough to give my the feel and control required to properly play my foot drums - which are sometimes acoustic and sometimes electric versions depending on the venue. These genuine Black Leather Lace Up Jazz Shoes Dance Boots by MissFiona - have a retro-nostalgic lace up look and give my feet and toes the protection they need from foot-drumming while providing the necessary firmness to project my individual drum tones. They are durable enough, I can wear them during my breaks where I might have to do a limited amount of walking about.Overall, they look great with whatever I am wearing, are sturdy, durable and high-quality - AND work great in providing me with the necessary foot control for my foot-drumming.I HAVE FINALLY FOUND THEM!!!!

Not a fan, but I have super wide feet so ordered a bit long
I think if these were real leather, even with the cut being a challenge for my super-wide toebox, I would love these. I am not a fan of the fake leather that will only crack in time and does not form to the foot but looks a bit sloppy,If you have a classic Egyptian shaped foot that is narrower, these would probably be a great value choice for you, I was hoping they would work for me, but alas they do not.Limited recommendation.

good shoes
missfiona Jazz Shoes Women Black Dance Boots PU Leather Lace Up Ballroom Oxford SneakersMy kids attend a theater class that requires them to wear jazz shoes. I got these for my son that wears Womens size 6 or 6.5 shoes. It seems jazz shoes always run small, and I don't want to have to buy another new pair in just six months if he has a growth spurt. So I ordered these in size 8. He says they're comfortable. There's about a thumb widths of extra space in the toe.He doesn't love that these have laces (usually I get him ones that are slip on/elastic.) So he says he has to tuck the laces on so he doesn't trip on them, which he hates, but it works. He's used these shoes for about 30 hours this semester and the shoes are still in really good shape.

Extremely flexible shoe.
My daughter commented that these are the most comfortable jazz shoes she's worn in dance. The body and sole of the shoe are more flexible than shoes she's had in the past. True about most dance shoes, make sure you size up because the sizes run about a shoe size smaller than what my child wears.

Comfortable, heel protects legs from shock
I tested these shoes in a jazz exercise class and they were a pleasure. They are comfortable. I appreciated how the heel has enough solidity to cushion heel slaps but not so thick as to hinder movement. I ordered the shoes using my regular shoe size and they fit as expected. As I now have used them for one hour, I can't yet speak to their durability. I anticipate them lasted for awhile. If there are any changes of note, I'll update this review.

Cheap and bulky
These were terrible shoes. I wore them at my adult jazz/hip hop class tonight and they were so ill-fitting. I normally wear a 7.5 but I sized up to an 8 based on the size chart and that was a bad idea. A 7.5 would have been fine. But I would be fine with shoes slightly too long if it weren't for the overall fit and quality of the shoe. Jazz shoes should fit like a glove--not too tight but certainly fit to the foot. There was so much extra fabric with these. It's like they were made for hobbit feet. The back of the shoe felt like they'd used cardboard to keep it stiff. The pieces on the bottom were cheap and maybe glued on. I absolutely do not recommend.

Not impressed
I got these for my middle school child for theater. He grew out of his last pair so I decided to try these. The fabric is a cheap fabric and they are not made as well as others we have had in the past (for about the same price). Because he grows out of his shoes so fast I really don't like spending a lot on jazz shoes that he is going to wear got two plays a year. They feel more like a vinyl fabric, not leather or faux leather. They will work for what I got them for.
