I’ve been wearing these running shoes for the past 20 years and the quality continues to get better. Fit is true to size, they’re comfortable once broken in and aren’t too heavy for training or longer racing. They also look great.
Mizuno's Wave Inspire is a great running shoe for people needing a bit more support and stability. These have consistently given me more miles that other brands in the past. For this year's model, they went with flat laces rather than the round ones from the past few years. I didn't necessarily dislike the round ones, but I do like these. The sole seems a bit more supportive in this model as well.My last pair of Wave Inspires were new just a few runs before they carried me through a full marathon. They then took me through all of the miles I logged during the lockdown earlier this year and into most of the summer. I fear that the new pair will only see virtual races this season. Oh well, even if no one else really sees them in action - they're still keeping my feet happy on my runs!
I have worn the Wave Inspire series since version 12. I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot which is also the foot that has a slight overpronation. Since wearing these shoes, I've haz ZERO PF!! My last pair was the 14. I wore them a bit too long, but still no issues. I found them to be a little loose in the heal. The 16's are nice and snug; like an extra layer of skin. The toe box is nice an roomy, though. Highly recommend.
For the man with, for lack of a better word, small feet! They are light weight and feel great on my feet.
I was on a zero drop kick for many years, but also owned very early versions of the mizuno wave before that, going back almost 15 years.Now that I'm over 50, my heels and tendons are no longer resilient enough to use 3mm zero drop running shoes on asphalt and concrete. While I still like those for trail hiking, the days of running in them are over.I took a risk and purchased these straight from amazon without testing, and they work great. There is just a wee bit of movement, which I feared would cause blisters or at the very least some skin issues and I was prepared to either return these or use bandaids or body glide to prevent issues. Surprisingly though, up to 8.5 mile runs, anyway, there have been no issues at all.Great running shoes.Still, I worry about the rubbing a little on runs longer than 8.5.
These are my first pair of Mizuno, in fact, my first pair that I purchased over the internet! I was worried the size won't be right or the shape may not be as I expected. However, they are great trainers. I have other running trainers and this pair is the best so far after suffering from planter "plantar fasciitis". My feet fit well and feel well-protected while running. With 12mm drop, the trainer has suitable cushioning (not too soft nor rigid). Last but not least, the delivery was so fast and arrived to me before the estimated date. I'm very impressed.
Great trainer even for long distance. Neutral foot with >30 miles per week. Seem to be lasting well. Fit as expected
