Perfect for someone looking for running shoes that are:Extremely comfortable, heel-toe drop is not excessive, non-rockered shape so they do not ruin your stride pattern, neutral stability meaning they are not trying to compensate for pronation or arch issues, and not overly cushioned to where you are disconnected from the ground.
I am in love with this shoe. I’ve been wearing top tier Adidas running shoes for the past about 15 years because i thought they were the best. I always wore Mizuno baseball cleats & I recently discovered that they also make running shoes & decided to give them a try since I’ve experienced back to back poor experiences with Adidas shoes. Oh. My. God. The comfort, the bounce, the stability, & the roomy toebox are the reason I will spend at least the next 15 years with Mizuno as my brand for running shoes.(I also purchased a top tier running shoe from Brooks to see which was better & return the worse one. Brooks simply isn’t on the same playing field.)
I owned wave rider 23 and love it, wave rider 29 continue the legacy. Midsole is very comfortable - just enough of cushion and bouncy, yet still feels responsive. The upper material is breathable, even in the high of summer. The toe box is spacious - I usually would need wide shoes from other brands, inld. B…k G…t, but wave rider’s regular width is generous. I took it out for a short run and my knee was singing with joy. I also like the vibrate colorway of light grey.
Super comfortable runner. Much different ride from the 28. This one is smooth from heel to front. It runs a lot like the Asics Nimbus but a more even transfer if from heel to toe if that makes any sense. Also great as a casual walking shoe.Wish there were more color options.
Great show really fits my feet and runs well
These are excellent running shoes. I actually PR’d my 5k within days of wearing them. Had to return due to pain on the outside of my foot BUT that’s not the shoe’s fault — I supinate and these have a plate in them that makes it personally uncomfortable. Great cushion and support. Fit perfect. Wish I could keep them!
Mizuno is a staple shoe for me. These are great!
