Great ankle support
Great training shoe. Not much cushion or heel, but has great ankle support. I'd recommend to go half size up. I'm normally a 9, but ordered a 9.5 and fit perfectly.

Very nice and comfortable
What in the world!! This is the third pair of mizuno shoes I am returning after buying them for years. This pair too high around my outside ankle and is almost impossible to to get on your foot.
Shoes were too small even though I ordered the right size, seemed like on shoe was larger than the other.
On the 2010s or so there was a trend for barefooted or minimalist shoes that were lead by Merrel and Nike. towards minimalist shoes represented a significant shift in the running shoe market, and it remains an important part of the history of running shoes. The theory at the time was to improve trainees balance which would improve performance. Then things took a turn to the opposite side, Nike Vaporflys got released proving once and for all that a lot of mid-cushion is needed. These Mizuno's are an evolution of those barefooted shoes. They fill similar but more comofrtable. They fit like a sock, so they are supposed to be tight. These are better than any barefooted / minimal shoe from before, though, which is why they are calling this correctly a new technology. So if you recall the barefooted frenzy, this feels close to that but better. It improves postures, it forces you to walk correctly, hence, these are for training and form, not to compete. If you never had any of the barefooted shoes before, that's an acquired taste. It will feel weird because the shoe will correct your posture. If you are not a professional athlete looking for performance, but you just want to train form, these are FANTASTIC. If you do non-professional weight training, these are also very good, because it helps your balance. It's a bit hard to explain, bt the bottom line factor is: these will run tight by design, they wll stretch, and they will correct your footing for training purposes. If you want walking / jogging shoes these are good as well.Honestly, I recommend these shoes for anything casual or athletic with the following notable exceptions: not appropriate for long sessions of jogging unless it's truly low intensity; intense running; rain or rough terrains. Great for indoor training, workouts and long walks.Well worth the $145.
