Best shoe for me!
This shoe is perfect for me. I first found out about this shoe at a specialized, local running store and was fitted for it. I am normally a size 6.5 but in this one I wear a 7 & of course a wide fit. The wide fit accommodates a bunion on the big toe. The shoe takes the pressure off the balls of my feet and the heel is padded and comfortable. This is the best shoe I have ever had that addresses my feet troubles. I am on my second pair. With the wide, Mizuno has only this color choice for women. It is fine with me because I am concerned with the fit. In all, the shoe relieved the bunion, the balls & heels of my feet. I do want to add that I have removed the sole of the shoe and replaced it with a high quality sole that specifically takes pressure off the ball of my feet for added support. Would I still purchase this shoe if I didn't replace the sole? I absolutely would. There is no "wearing in" of the shoe and comfortable the moment I put them on. Too bad heels can't be this comfortable!

at last!
these are amazing.i stumbled upon the mizuno brand almost three years ago and was pleasantly surprised by how well my feet were supported and nothing hurt after wearing them while working out and running. it took some doing (ordering three different pairs of the 'wave' style, and ultimately not choosing the 'alchemy,' which was the website recommended style) but these are the most incredible, comfortable, WEARABLE sneakers i have ever owned.there was absolutely no break-in period. i wore them for three miles my first day, straight out of the box, with no problems. i then went running in them and they kept me going farther than i would have ever gone before. they support my overpronation, they are lightweight enough not to weigh me down, and they are colorful enough that i want to wear them.it is with much sadness that i retire my old pair of mizuno waves... but at last i have found a worthy successor!

Great shoe - fits differently than 15
I've been wearing Mizuno Wave Riders for years, and especially liked the fit of the 15. That pair was starting to wear out, so I bought these as a replacement and have been transitioning into them over the past couple weeks. The 16s were really easy to start running in - no time needed to break them in. They feel light and springy like the previous version. Why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for two reasons: they feel bigger than my 15s, mostly in the toebox - it feels wider and slightly longer. I always buy a 9.5, but these are borderline too big. And no. 2: I've also noticed some rubbing around the ankle that I hadn't had in my previous shoes. Hoping that goes away with time.

I really feel these shoes were worth every dime.
Okay, so here's the deal. I am a tightwad! I seriously dislike to carelessly spend my money! And being the person that I am, I did a lot of research before giving up my money. I found the reviews on these Mizuno shoes were greatly positive on amazon and several runners magazines and websites, so after a battle with my inner demons I finally decided to purchase these shoes. What have I got to say about these shoes?Amazing. With my previous sneakers I never felt enthusiastic about running, it was a hassle, but I guess that what I got for purchasing $40 shoes. My heels would hurt I would get new blisters, it was hell! So finally I decided to invest a few more dollars for better shoes. With these shoes I feel like I can run more miles that I previously had done. These shoes provide wonderful cushioning, I no longer feel the horrendous impact of the cement. Rather now I feel like I'm riding the wind. Wonderful.Pros:ComfortableMesh. . . the shoe is very breathableThe heel. . . the added height provides the perfect impact reductionStyle. . . I found it to be very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, it was true to the image. I ordered the white/ultravioletCons:I have yet to find any, but if I do I will surely update this review.I would recommend this product to anyone who runs on a daily basis and for long periods of time.

Very painful shoe
I had my stride evaluated by a professional team at a shoe store that specializes in running/walking foot gear. These were highly recommended based upon the results of the evaluation.I am not a consistent runner and mostly I walk at a very brisk pace. I broke these in with a 4 mile walk; short compared to my regular daily distances. I thought I was going to cry because my feet were hurting like crazy. And I started having issues in my left knee that never existed before as well. Nearing the end of the 4 miles, I had to take them off and finish in bare feet. I've never owned a more uncomfortable and downright painful pair of sneakers. There's no way I would want to run in them. There's NO padding under your foot!I paid $115 for these and frankly, they're useful for maybe short grocery shopping or a run to the mall but I wouldn't wear them for anything more than that. I did take them on another test yesterday for a 4 mile walk and the same thing happened all over again. I wore the sole down to almost nothing on my Brooks and even with that, I couldn't wait to put them back on my feet. I was able to walk 4 miles more and in much better comfort, even with minimal soles left on the shoes. If I could give these shoes zero stars, I would. 8 miles on the shoes and I may see if I can offload them on Ebay. What a waste of money.
