So Comfortable!

These running shoes are so comfortable! I forgot how good it feels to get a new pair of running shoes. There's lots of cushioning and support for my poor tired feet. I'm 56 years old and my feet are a mess from years of running and wearing high heels for work. Mizuno makes a very nice shoe for my narrow feet that has plenty of room in the toe box for my bunions. The shoe wraps around the front of my foot securely, keeping my foot in place, even going downhill, while gently supporting my arch, while also not feeling too tight. The heel is super cushioned as is the rest of the shoe for a nice smooth ride while running. I highly recommend these shoes!

Great shoe at a great price!!!

I had the green and grey colored Wave riders before and put tons on miles on them. It was time for a new pair of running shoes so I went and got me some fancy new Adidas that cost me about $200. I used them for a few months and was not a big fan. I went back to the OLD FAITHFUL mizunos. I have a very long (size 10) and slender foot and this shoe fits like a glove. For those of you who have never worn Mizunos, DO NOT be discouraged by the hardness of the shoe. (they tend to be a bit harder of a shoe than others), but other than that the shoe is comfortable and great for neutral runners. I used to have the wave rider 13 a while back... I sure do miss that shoe!! All in all great purchase at a great price!!

Great sneakers, can't beat the price!

My feet have gotten so sensitive over the years and they start to ache If the sneakers don't have enough shock absorption. So my previous pair of adidas boost must've worn off bc my heel started to hurt so much, I thought I had plantar fasciitis! I tried getting new sneakers before running to the dr. Actually my podiatrist friend told me there wouldn't be much they could do anyway. So I got these sneakers bc years ago I used mizunos and remember them being the most gentle on my picky feet. I didn't want to spend a fortune though. This price seems great, reviews were good and I needed a dark color bc I walk/jog/hike with my dog in the woods and I need something that would hide the dirt. I have not had the heel pain in weeks, I washed them once so far and they came out looking new, they fit snug but not too snug, they're cute...I may even order another pair soon! I like them a lot!

Great shoes, slow runner.

Love these shoes. I ordered a size larger and they are a tad long, but better for running than a tad short. This is my third pair of Wave Rider's over the years. I tried Brooks, but they blackened my big toenail so I went right back to these. This pair is better than the previous Wave Riders which would sink down on the ball of my foot after running a couple of miles (weird); this padding doesn't sink down on the ball of your foot when you run. The red/orange is my favorite color, but I've already had 2 pair of those. They aren't overly wide either which I really like, my foot is on the narrow side.

Solid Running Shoes

To start, let me disclose that I run with custom orthotics. It's the only way I can prevent getting plantar fasciitis. I have a very high arch and an extremely flexible foot. After I switch out the insoles, most shoes feel pretty similar to each other. These were no different.Fit was good. I tend to buy Mizunos because I find their shoes run slightly narrow and fit me better. The only issue I saw with the shoes are the laces. They are short. I didn't make the shoes tighter to lengthen the laces as someone else mentioned doing. I just made a very small bow that I couldn't double knot. The shoes were were comfortable on their inaugural run. No blisters. No rub marks.I don't see the point to critiquing the look of the shoe. All athletic shoes are ugly. I think the trick is finding something that won't annoy you or blind you if you happen to glance down at your feet.

💖 Love 💕

These shoes are fantastic. I’m getting back into exercising and wanted a shoe for short runs and HIIT. I tried both cross training and running shoes from Nike (3 different styles), Brooks (2 styles), and New Balance. None of them felt right. I thought I was an overpronator, but a Brooks support shoe proved otherwise. It seemed to me that shoe technology has become so advanced that I should be able to find a shoe that fit all my specifications and felt good.I’ve been aware of Mizuno’s, but was distracted by flashier brands like Hoka One One and Altra. I did tons of research - read reviews & questions and all info in the listing. Somehow (thankfully) a Mizuno was suggested, and after reading an explanation from “the manufacturer” of a shoe that sounded like what I was looking for I checked out the Wave Rider. It was a good price so I decided to give it a try.As soon as I put them on I knew these were perfect. My feet have “issues” - I have wide, flat feet with slight arches. I have narrow heels and have to use those stupid pads that never stay stuck to the inside of the shoe. I’ve done contemporary dance barefooted for 20 years, and wear sandals or chunky boots. The Wave Riders felt so comfortable like they’d already been broken in, but also soft and springy.I went for a run and the shoes were fantastic. No heel slipping, no tightness in the width or painful arches. Very lightweight and stable with the perfect amount of cushion.I’m gonna buy another pair right now. Eeeeeee!🤸🏻‍♀️

Great Color, great fit, great support

I did not realize how many different and confusing choices there are in Mizuno running shoes. I bought the wrong model and tried to wear them into comfortable. They just got worse. So I looked carefully at the number, "Waverider 22." Luckily they are still making them and I was able to order a pair in the gorgeous purple. I wore them all through our trip to Vienna. They were great and looked very chic with all the black clothes I brought to wear. I implore Mizuno to keep making the model I am so sick of athletic shoe companies dropping models of sneakers and sandals.
