I hate wearing shoes, but these are actually pretty comfy!
Coming from someone who absolutely hates having her toes closed up in shoes, take it from me --these are really comfy!I have long toes, and wear flip-flops pretty much exclusively. But every now and then, you want to hike somewhere you can't get in flip-flops. My sister had a pair of these, and I liked the way they looked, so I got a pair for myself --and they really are super comfy! Even for a closed-toe-shoe-hating freak like me!

Defect in one shoe
I love the right shoe lol. But the left one is shaped just a bit wrong in how the tongue is attached. Stitched wrong? I've tried different lacing patterns and waiting for them to break in. Doesn't give me blisters but its annoying to feel during long runs. Otherwise I normally love Mizuno trail shoes.

Runs small
I am a vet tech and receptionist so on my feet a lot. I bought my first pair of Mizuno’s three years ago, but the “blade” version or open sole. However, those are now 200+ $ and I just cannot swing those prices at the moment. So I am going to try a sole version of this shoe and see how they compare. The fit is the same, they run small, but a nice toe box if your foot runs to the narrow side. Not a true narrow, but narrow side v/s being wide side.Stay tuned to after I wear them for 13 hours straight for the additional review.

I love Mizuno running shoes. Been running in them for 20 years. Every time I try something new I always go back. But the running shoe are not great for hiking. These trail runners however are perfect. Super grippy on the downhill. Very comfortable. Didn’t feel every rock under my foot. Just ordered a second pair today.
