Wave prophecy 12 is almost like 8

I am a wave prophecy girl. With that said this shoe runs about a whole size too small. I wear a 7 1/2 and I brought a 8 1/2. I have a small narrow foot so the narrow build works for me. This is not a light shoe like On Cloud monster so if you like those type of running shoes you won’t like this. I also tend to pronate and I am generally rough on shoes. This one lasts a long time if it fits you right.

Size up, way up, and don't expect a real tongue

This shoe has great colors but the most pathetic tongue I have ever experienced in a running shoe--totally flat and flimsy. For a Mizuno Prophecy and its original price, I'd expect far better because I've had far better in this shoe.I have the Prophecy in version 8, which is awesome but wearing out after a few years. The tongue in that one is thicker and cushioned. In the Prophecy 8 (which ran small), I had to go up a size (and so did other reviewers-half to whole size larger- from what I recall) but this Prophecy 12 would need to be at least another half size beyond that to actually fit. My feet are actually narrow enough to own a few narrow width dress shoes, so the main issue was length with this.I also received the shoes without tags or a real Mizuno box, which is not totally abnormal on Amazon (I got a pair of Asics that way once too, and they were fine) however the lack of original packing and tags SHOULD be disclosed to buyers, and it was not. I have to hope this does not create a problem with the return. All in all, a really disappointing purchase. I wanted to like these.

Best shoes ever - I only buy these

I used to wear the other popular brands in USA like Nike, Adidas, etc., until I put on Mizuno Prophecy for thr first time 15 or more years ago. And I have only worn these shoes since...at least a dozen pair. I even visited Osaka Japan where they are made. The Prophecy in particular is designed to eliminate the impact of asphalt and concrete jogging/running. I am 50 years old and used to be NCAA D1 basketball, played soccer competitively thru my 30's and run races and tri-athelons unto my late 40s. I am still jogging and very active for someone 10 years or more younger. I have broken 13 bones from multiple injuries throughout my life (12 - 44 years old) and honestly if I wear any other shoes to exercise I get pain and swelling in my knees and ankles. Thus most recent pair is designed even better with the mesh and toe area; as well as the tongue and laces that keep the fit more secure, even for someone who never unties the shoes and just slips them on and off. I am so thankful to Mizuno for making these life-changing shoes that allow me to continue to be my active self despite previous injuries and age.

Size at least 1 size up! I sized 1.5 up and it fits perfectly!

Shoes are very nice and comfortable. They remind me of the top tier On Cloud shoes. The only issue was that the sizing was hard to get right. I’m usually a size 6.5. On Cloud also runs big which I’m a 7.5 in On Cloud shoes, but 7.5 was too small for me in these Mizunos. I returned and got a size 8 which fits me perfectly!

Too short

Too short. I have many Mizuno shoes and all the same size but this pair was far too short and my big toe was hitting the inner wall of the shoe. It’s unfortunate that the next half size up or full size up were not available and the price had jumped as well. I’d size up if you get this one but don’t know by how much.

Faithful buyer shockingly disappointed

I have owned many wave prophecy shoes. The #2 generation line was the best. So after a the hiatus of not finding them since shutdown, I was so excited to see these supportive shoes back. For me, I need a cross training shoe not running shoe for stability. This line has almost always offered that perfect mix throughout the years. So I tore open the box to find they run small. They looked great but barely could get them on. The quality seemed good so I ordered a 1/2 size bigger. Tore that box open and went straight to a walk- run. Felt ok but very stiff and didn’t have cushion. Not very comfortable - lacked that spring action and roll like the other generation of WPros. So I thought … I’m used to these soft elite running shoes so give it a few days. So today was day 3 … my heel was hurting so bad I wanted to walk barefoot on my 2 mile workout. It’s like walking on bricks. There is no absorption. I put in my support liners and it didn’t help. You would think after owning 7 Wpro lines, they would get this one right! The tongue is so long it rubs … just like others reported. The cost of these shoes are outrageous and lacks performance. The look is great. The material is nice and I love the stability but the comfort is terrible, honestly painful. I’m certainly disappointed. I will be asking if I can return after 3 days of use. They are just too expensive to pretend they work. I hope they fix this.
